He declared all of our space a Free Market Zone, and anyone from empire could come down and use it. The idea was we'd be like Empire 2.0, with a bunch of pubbies running around and mining our ore, building shit, and supplying our stations with goods and whatnot. It was an epic failure. Then Remedial quit the game, and goons posted pictures of his small penis all over the internet. Last edited by DEO3 : 02-05-2009 at 06:23 PM. |

Yea, I saw this earlier this morning a few hours after the news broke. Wow...just wow. One of the biggest feuds in any MMO, ever, over and gone because of one person, dragging what amounts to tens of thousands of real world dollars with him. So damn amazing.

If I had stuck it out for another few months, I probably would have built up the skills to get involved in some strip mining, and in the extreme long term I would have liked to get into more of the leadership aspect, but for all of the time investment required it didn't seem worth it. A good game in its own right, but it requires so much time to get anywhere. |

I'm saying that at least some of the safeguards of real life should be adopted in game, because what they have is clearly inadequate. edit: Of course, BoB's leadership should have known that they were open to this sort of attack, and taken greater care in selecting and tending to their directors. |

So do other alliances have free pickings on territory that was previously BoB?
Do they fight over it? Is Skunk Works former BoB? Sorry if silly questions..I tried getting into EvE a couple of times, but never got up to this higher level stuff. |
