That's some legitimately amazing artwork for Uncharted 2. I've always been impressed with the way their concept art translates pretty much directly into the game.

Vintage Artworks #969

I've decided to let my inner thoughts out of my head, and wanted to involve you guys with this discussion, to let me know, what do you think. The topic is about one of my passions: games. And Press Materials for games. When I started this business about 12 years ago, then you wouldn't find of these so called PR companies and agencies, it was only just the publisher who you dealt with. And a lots of materials which came via traditional post, and CD ROM (sometimes VHS). I remember, that our company had a whole section in the basement which were filled with boxes, fully loaded with CD's, which contained Arts, and Press Assets. After that, the FTP era started, distributors came in, exclusive events started to grow, and these assets started to widespread. But still, there are so many artworks, concept arts, and lots of stuffs made for games which are never made available into public (especially those which are intented to use in PRINT only, with strict embargos). But since, times passed, these games, and assets are no longer a possible threat into any games campaign, so what happens with these assets out there? Is there any way, to get those materials somehow (or even just the fragments of it)? Or are they vanishing into disappearence forever? It just really sad, because sometimes these works are just simply masterpieces, and nice to have them in my archieves. I don't know exactly how it happened, but I just realised a couple of years ago that I started to collect these things. It was easy, because our company get a lot of assets from publishers, and agencies, but it was challenging as well, because I needed to manage a lot of content growing bigger by every day. And today, I just caught myself in a middle of a decent chaos, with various drives, external HDD's, TONS of assets since from 1996 to nowadays, and TB's of massive deep mess :D But still - I missed a WHOLE LOT of materials, which I now desperately want to find somehow. So, what's the common advise of wisdom here? Is that even possible? Or is there any method which I need to start to make any progress in my case? Or it's just a complete waste of time, and get a life :lol

Thanks for reading it through anyway...

The best way is to start a site where you put all that artwork available from download and allow people to submit their own stuff. It would take quite a lot of work to look at all the submissions and run the site but you might get what you seek.

I already thought about this type of solution, but it's not just needs time, but an awfully lot of organization as well. If I wanted to do that, I wanted to do it properly. Probably I will need a very good, and reliable server, with an almost unlimited storage space, with very good connection, and unlimited data transfer. A server, which prefereably not rented. So that's not cheap. So I stucked at this point...

Keep up the excellent work guys. But I was wondering, what happened to eXcalibur? his posts were awesome too but his account was set to private so I can't grab some of the great artworks I want.
