I'm goin to report this here in case anyone wants it. I was digging around my folder of incomplete projects and stumbled upon the sketch for this piece - I had actually begun planning this project when I was doing themes for Konami. I had gotten word (this was a couple of years ago) that Castlevania was being revived, and I'd come up with an idea for a 'greatest hits' style theme incorporating remixed scenes from the biggest games in the series. since, however, the new game subsequently became a 'relaunch' of the brand that had no continuity with the previous titles, the idea fell through. Still, it struck me that someone out there might like to have a high-res remix of a scene from SOTN, so I endeavored to finish it and post it. the results below: An original shot from the same scene: and my take (warning, the linked image is huge):

Awesome! It's a great piece but I have some critique about it. First of all, Dracula's cape looks weird. It's like he's wearing huge shoulderpads or having his left arm in some weird position. Having the rays of sunshine is also weird, considering, while they do help improve the mood of the picture.

That said, it would certainly be interesting to see a remake in this style.
