I think it was because they were trying to get the portraits more in line with how they looked in classic MKs thats why. I agree with you though but I can understand the look they were going for.

I haven't updated it in a while, but my gallery at http://ettugamer.com/gallery3/ does have a ton of the stuff here. I'll be updating it over the summer, which will then include all of this stuff. The database is already over 100gb (as I've been doing collecting and archiving of my own), so I doubt it would be easy to torrent it.

Talking about the torrent, I want to say that I cannot seed anymore since my PC become full (only 300GB) and I couldn't keep both packs, one for the torrent made with the archives and my pack with a total of 40GB so I had to delete the torrent-pack. Now, at the moment we have 30GB instead of 20 reaching 9000 files. Indeed, a ftp would be nice as a back for more simple use instead of a torrent because it is very hard to download everything from there or downloading rarpack by rarpack to maintain the speed.

Yet, I see some leeches & seeders active, so I thank you for who is spending the time to continue seeding.

What I'm looking for now is high-res versions of title screens. I've found a few which I'll try to post sometime soon. More specifically if anyone has it, I lost the high res one I had for A Link to the Past. I also can't find any high res ones for any Metal Gear game. All anyone really has to do is run old games in an emulator and take clean screencaps of the title screen.

This is more what I'm looking for right here: Metal Gear 2: Sold Snake (MSX) Title Screen I'm not sure on the exact resolutions of each image but I'm sure they all range between 1440 x 900 and 1920 x 1200. That last one for Zelda is a little bigger.

Well, depends what game titles you are looking for. I can't help you with this one since I have a 4:3 monitor and not wide for wallpapers with only two games in my PC.

You can search around google as Type-Videogame-Name Tittle Screen or Type-Videogame-Name Effect Tittle. You will get some answers, but in small sizes like 500x500

For most of the games the best way would probably be to just screencap the PC version so you can get higher resolutions.
