Nice to see the Wallace and Gromit games on sale. I've been wanting to have them on Steam since buying them directly from TellTale comes with SecuROM. They're not TellTale's best but they're still enjoyable, especially for fans of the characters.

Can anyone able to get the Skyrim $45 deal add me on Steam? I'm thinking of getting that if IntKeys doesn't price match another Key site at $22.50. My current pre-order is a little under $30, and it'd be worth the extra cash to not have to worry about future DLC and VPN, etc..

They need options like shutdown after all downloads complete.

Looks like the Steam forums have been hacked, forums are down for maintenance atm, and received an email from steampowered.com with the following:
Ever wanted to dominate the servers you play on with guaranteed results, but you were too afraid to cheat because of ban risks? Visit removed domain It's safe, secure and undetected. Along with hacks, we've also got some general discussion sections, hacking tutorials and tools, porn, free giveaways and much more. This site has been conditioned to meet all your needs in terms of resources so be sure to take a look and tell us what you think. Thanks again, the fkn0wned team. Looking at the mail headers, looks to be sent directly through steam forums too, and sent to my steam forum contact email (separate to my steam account). |

I'm assuming this is the reason I can't search for my friend in the Community Search.

You can set the program to shut off your computer at specific times and you can actually set it to open an .exe at a specific time so it should be handy for what you want. http://home.myhughesnet.com/services.php I use it personally and it will function perfectly as long as you don't have a program that has a dialogue that you have to click before shutdown which luckily Steam doesn't. It's not quite the same as when a download finishes but just guesstimate the time and then finish it in the am if you need to. Here's an example of how I have it set up:

No email here.
I guess I'm glad that the forum account is separate from the Steam client account. |

Yeah my Steam forums email and PW is completely different from my Steam account. I was paranoid they would ban my Steam account like EA does with their games.

I can't get Supreme Commander to run on Steam. No errors, it just doesn't start.
I've already verified the cache integrity, but the steam forums are down so I haven't been able to find a solution. |

Wanted to add my own positive word about Vamphuntr. Dude was supercool and hooked me up with that D2D deal and could not have been a nicer person. One of the best of Gaf for sure.
(Sorry to Vamphuntr if the good word about you gets you hoarded with PM's of people asking for the deal! :P Just wanted to publicly thank you since it was such a good experience.) |

Speaking of region shenanigans i might load up another $30 on Paypal for the Steam Xmas sale. Both Drakkensang's and Risen aint available here along with the usual price gouging 'bargains'

It's not $99 here.
I bet pubs got hit with some pressure from retail chains. Having Steam undercut their prices can't be good for biz. |

You aussies can get games cheaper via this GAF thread of gifting: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=394003 .

Anyone else having trouble with the gaming for windows 3.5 update in windows 7?
I think I got the update when I started fallout 3 in the game but later on windows wanted the update and now it won't stop installing it. Just reinstalls over and over. Tried checking it off but with little success. I also tried to find the update and uninstall it but couldn't find it in the update list... Will give support a try after work today but thought I would check here as well. edit *found this* so I guess I have to be patient.
