No worries ^_^ try exporting as a different filetype for the final design. I think Photoshop should have an export as PNG thing

Yeah, I have a 4000x4000 PNG saved already. I just wanted to ask you guys if you thought it was even worth submitting before I bothered EviLore.

I received my Tshirt \o/

13 days to arrive from the USA to mainland Europe, it's really fast imho. A little warning to my fellow Europeans : if you want to buy an American Apparel one, you'll have to choose your real size and not the one under (when I buy clothes from the USA I usually take L-size, when I usually wear XL in Europe).I received my Tshirt \o/

Also the print's quality is a little low, so you may want not wash it (and thus not wear it) often.

The shop has said 3000x3000 since we opened up, but it accepts 4000x4000 files.

Go for it, I think it's hilarious. :) Maybe play with the fonts more?

To fix the blurriness in the smiley, open the original sprite in photoshop. Then go to image size (Alt + Ctrl + I), then on the bottom of the window is a drop-down that has the option, "Nearest Neighbor (Preserve Hard Edges)". Select, type in desired size, you should get a better result from the sprite.

Can't you enlarge it with some non-interpolating method? Multiply it by an even factor of two and set Photoshop to linear/nearest neighbor interpolation*.

* I forget the precise term PS uses.

Yeah, I'll try that when I get back to work today. My project files are still on that computer.

Edit: I just did a test, and the nearest neighbor method worked fine. I'll make a new version when I get to work. Any other suggestions for changes before I resubmit it to EviLore?

Alright, I got rid of the blurred edges around the smiley and turned off anti-aliasing around the Terminal font text to preserve the pixelated look. Is this better?

Excellent! If only shirts could be animated.

Only thing that you could maybe do, is add a thin black border around the smiley like you did around the pixel text. But it's not really necessary, just something I noticed.

I added in a border and updated the picture in my previous post. I think it looks better with the border as well. Although I should point out that the black border around the smiley isn't actually that thick in the 4000x4000 version that I will be submitting. Lowering the image size so that I could post a preview made the border appear thicker than it is at higher resolution.

And I promise the red lettering doesn't look quite as pink in person as it does in this picture. The print is quite reflective and all of the colors are a little off in the photo anyway.

I am happy with the shirt and the way it looks.
Though next time I may order a small instead since this shirt was a bit bigger than I expected compared to another medium AA shirt I have.

Thanks! I ordered that and the "It's dangerous to go alone." shirt in the same color and they're awesome. Can't wait to rep one to the Zelda Symphony!

AA shirts to me are a really weird fit. I take an XXL, shrink it really well, then take about 2" off the bottom and it's a perfect shirt. However, Evilore is the same height/weight as me and can wear a medium... soooo go figure.

He's buff and I'm not :(

After much deliberation, I've decided to ask for this shirt for Christmas. Maybe the wifey will get it for me.

That is, of course, unless a new batch of designs pops up next month and I see something that I like more. This one is just so sleek though, and it represents GAF clearly and stylishly.

I was thinking someone should take on making a religious-GAF shirt. There's only been a few requests, but something subtle would be nice for them. I was thinking something along the lines of;

But replace the smileys that make up the N with , and the smileys outside the N with this (without the fist prob), facing in the direction of the center.

Either that, or something else entirely, but one way or another a religious-GAF shirt would be nice for those dozen or so on these boards. :lol

I like the idea, but there should be a mention of GAF somewhere in that design. Maybe a logo placed somewhere. Otherwise people won't know what the hell the shirt is going on about.

This gave me a t-shirt design idea, but my resources at work might be too limited to realize it.

I am picturing either praying hands or a praying stick figure with a GAF logo floating up above it. The GAF logo would have a halo around it, and the text underneath the praying hands and/or man would read "Based GAF."

Shirts arrived early last week; nucking futs they're much better than I expected!
Their awesomeness is only rivaled by their awesomeness:

.......

Both shirts were Medium, Lens of Truth was AA while First Flight [w/ non-default Red BG] was Gildan. AA definitely feels like the better fit, Gildan is also good, yet more like the looser shirt one might wear while jogging, etc. Can't wait to get another batch, might try small this time.

A big thank you to EviLore without whom this project would be non-existent, and a hearty thanks to the designers whose creativity knows no bounds.

Looking forward to rocking these shirts @ the Skyward Sword midnight release event!

Only problem with that is that the shirt would cost more and it still wouldn't be clear to people by looking at your front what the design was in reference to.

I like an in-jokey t-shirt, though. It's not like the Germany-Australia-Florida design is remotely intelligible to non-GAFfers.

new swing at it:

Paint is still a damn good program for pixel art. you use it as a base and expand it from there with the finished product

Yesterday I got a notice from the mail service saying my t-shirts arrived (it took 1 month), so today I went to customs to retire the package but apparently it was being held because of some bullshit law and I was suppose to pay 100 bucks to release it, after some back and forth with the person who was reviewing my case (lol) I got her to let it go for half that and they finally gave it to me. Just now got home and I had a chance to check them out, THEY'RE FUCKING WORTH IT :)

But I have to pay 177 sek ($25.5) in service fees and customs to collect it... :(
