As for non-roided guys, I generally don't bookmark or remember male anthro characters. Will take a look, though!

She's well designed and can be altered slightly enough to work very well turned into that kind of antro art, while still looking mostly like she looked in the show.

She's also cute.

Something doesn't have to be sexualised, for people to sexualise it. :p

There always seem to be specific characters that end up becoming "hotspots" in the fandom. Renamon from Digimon, Zoroark and Lucario from Pokemon, Balto, Spyro, Sly Cooper, etc.

As for the why-those-characters-specifically, that's anyone's guess. Easy to speculate, but that's all it'd be.

@Cheez: Yeah, she's another one of "those" characters that became very popular in the fandom. I blame the fact that she has boobs, and probably that for a lot of the fandom at the time, she represented "my first attraction to something other than pictures of nude women on the internet".

I'm no longer surprised by the amount of NSFW art of *any* character from anything. I honestly suspect that half of the Rule 34 stuff on the internet was originally just made for lulz, a quarter was made for cartoon porn sites aiming to "shotgun" as many topics/characters as possible so as to get as many hits as possible, and the rest are true fetish pieces.

That second one, from a technical standpoint, is exceptional. Extreme foreshortening, lots of intricate mechanical detail on the devices... You don't see much of this level of ability in the fandom.

I like the Jesus Eating A Sammich figurine in the background of it. And of course, there's a Krystal figurine...

The renamon thing is overblown in the same vein as Krystal. It's one of those people who think there have been no furries prior to them when in fact a bunch of Leomon porno existed prior to Renamon and same with Fox yaoi with his boyfriend Wolf.

Y'know, I can suspend my disbelief as much as the next guy, but that Reshiram picture. It's like... there's no room for veins! The musculature is so overblown, it's like, if he tried to move at all, tendons would rip.

I know much of the appeal of fandom art is in the hyper-idealized representation, but sometimes it just kinda looks like this:

See here's the thing - real life bodybuilders are ugly.

However, somehow drawn ones are rather... quite good. There's something in the style that makes it a bit more pleasing to the eyes.
