![]() Q: What is this First Edition bundle I've been hearing about? A: It's a bundle with a Playstation Vita, a case, a 4 GB memory card, Little Deviants and it's available a week early (Feb 15). In the US it's $349.99 and you'll get the 3G version of the PS Vita. In Canada it's $299.99 and it comes with the wi-fi only version. Q: Is the PS Vita backwards compatible? A: You can play PSP games. PS1 Classics are not compatible at launch. Q: Is there a discount for buying the games digitally from the PSN store? A: There will be some kind of discount. (source) Q: Is there some kind of UMD trade-in program? A: No. Q: Will PS+ members get an additional discount? A: There will be no PS+ discounts in the US for Vita at launch. (source) Q: Is the Vita region free? A: Yes, but you can only have one account activated at a time and online passes are region restricted. Q: Are memory cards region free? A: Yes, they are. Yoshida have been telling EU users to import 32 GB cards from the US. Q: How do I download full games on the device? A: You can only download games directly with the Vita or transfer them from a PS3. There are currently no other ways. Q: Can you backup full games from your memory card to your PC using the Vita and the CMA application? A: Yes. Q: How large memory card do I need? A: That's up to you, but here is a helpful list of the sizes of a few Japanese PS Vita games. European games tend to be larger due to multilingual support. Q: How do I switch PSN account on my Vita? A: Read this post. Code:

Despite buying one at Japanese launch, I'm getting hyped all over again for the Western release! Bought Uncharted and Minna no Golf at JP launch and going with, so far, Katamari, Lumines and Wipeout for UK launch. A few more have caught my eye, but I'm happy with those three on day one.

Every time I see the launch titles I am incredibly surprised at how good they are. Best launch ever? I think so.
PSP is probably my favorite handheld ever, even if I played my DS more, so I have high hopes for my Vita. I really need to grab a 32GB memory stick soon though, 4GB ain't gonna be enough.

Awesome OT, though, you might wanna add PSN remote play and maybe a "rumor" section.
Will grab Shinobido and a 32GB card to play some RPGs that were released on the PSP. Can't wait for the 21st. |

I'm not trying to stir things up, but if the launch was so great why is no one in Japan buying it? Is it a matter of western games that don't appeal there?

I preordered my PlayStation Vita today.
I got the wi-fi only system with Wipeout 2048 to start with. Of course you get a free 8GB memory card if you preorder with Amazon. I'm not sure if I should spend the extra £15 on Lumines Electronic Symphony. I have never played a Lumines game before. I'm not going to spend the extra £15 on Rayman Origins because I already have it on Xbox 360. I don't see any better alternatives for the extra £15 game. Also, I will get Uncharted at a later date. This will be the first time I've bought a gaming system at launch since the Nintendo Wii on 8 December, 2006. |

Nice OT! The launch lineup is so impressive. Got mine already paid in full, and will pick up Uncharted, WipEout 2048, BlazBlue and Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus. Also a 4GB memory card, since I'll be going full retail (will import HK Gravity Daze, since Europe's getting a PSN only version).

Fucking hyped.
Was going to pass on the Vita at launch but found myself ordering a WiFi, 8GB and Wipeout 2048 from Amazon yesterday. |

Day 1, day 1, baby!!
I can't wait anymore. Pre-ordered at AMAZON (Starter Kit and the free 8GB card) and I'm ready to go. Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Escape Plan, Wipeout and Super Stardust Delta will be so mine. My only problem: I'm currently in europe and they don't sell the 32GB card here. Now I'm looking where I can get one for a fair price :-/

How many full PSP games are actually available on the PS store anyways? Are most of the games up there, or is it just a few select choices?

Daaamn. I wanted a Vita before, and now I want one even more. BUT, I just bought a new home audio system yesterday, and need to not blow any more funny money for a bit. Guess I'll go eat some Taco Bell and maybe get lucky!
