MGS4 takes it's rightful place in the standings (again). It's good to see. I mean, is it possible to give a game an 11? If so, this would be the game that would merit that score. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a title that exceeds all of the hype that was attached to the title. Regardless of whether you've seen every trailer and screenshot, read every preview and heard every interview, you won't get a full sense of how phenomenal this title is unless you sit down and experience it for yourself.

Truth. I don't believe anyone truly enjoys the game. At the back of the mind of every MGS4 "fan" is a niggling doubt that their "fun" isn't real and they're suffering the experience because it has the title MGS and it's a PS3 exclusive. I love MGS 1 -3. I bought my PS3 for MGS4. I was on the hype train 110% and when I first played it I tried to kid myself into thinking it wasn't that bad. Thankfully, I realised it was okay to call it out as a piece of shit and was a better man because of it. ME2 isn't as good as the first game, but it's still a good game. There's no controversy there. Whereas MGS4 is a steaming pile of shit in literally every aspect. It's inexcusable to me that a place like GAF feels it's okay to champion it. Proof for me you should know a poster before you trust their opinions.

Would someone care to explain me, why is MGS4 worse than MGS1, MGS2, MGS3?

To speak at length about all of MGS4's flaws would be to waste an absurd amount of time. But here's a recap:

Highest cut-scene-to-gameplay ratio in the entire series. Over 50% of your time will be spent not touching buttons.
LONGEST(and dullest) cut-scenes in the entire series. Most of them are unnecessarily long. At one point you'll spend over an hour of NOT playing the game.
Awful, nonsensical plot, and that's by Metal Gear standards in case you want to get clever. Retroactively shits on previous games and characters.
Worst bosses in the entire series. Poorly done homages to previous bosses. They're not only shit, they're unoriginal.
Mediocre gunplay/controls and stealth mechanics(octocamo is OP as hell), which are only somewhat properly utilized in two of the five chapters that compromises the game:
Act 1 and 2: OK gameplay
Act 3: Reverse escort mission. You spend the entire thing following someone.
Act 4: MGS1 retread with no human enemies at all(except the boss), there's nothing to do there.
Act 5: Abysmally short

For me, personally, it's because MGS 1-3 were genuinely great games (MGS2 is a top 10, easily) and 4 ruined the entire franchise for me. I fucking hate it for that.

Nah, don't get me wrong, but you guys take it waaaay too seriously.
And just for the sake of the discussion.

Act 1 and 2, are awesome. They deliver the finest piece of gameplay in the whole series. Yes, Octocamo might be a little OP, but in a clean run of TBE, for example, it suits perfectly.
First half of Act 3 won't please everyone, personally I really enjoyed the first time I played it, the subsequent playthroughs, it felt like a chore.
But the second half of Act 3, what is wrong with you people!!!? How the fuck can you dislike it?
Act 4 it's just a homeage to MGS1, I get that "it's just Shadow Moses without people".
But it would've made any sense to have people guarding an abandoned military base? No.
Act 5, well it's just the set up for the final fight. Granted, it doesn't have a lot of gameplay going on, but it has some nice moments.
