My prediction? Obviously the C Word will be Wilson and House talking about his cancer, and the finale will probably be House dealing with life after Wilson dying, hence re-evaluating his life, so probably going back to Dominica and apologizing and ending with a happy House.

Spoiler tags due to plot point from the final episodes name/description.

They've already done that for two season finales.

Episode was well-directed, they did a good job making Wilson seem just a little off in retrospect but not enough to make you think something serious was up.

They offered up several possible explanations, but nothing definitive. It's also possible that the grandfather had something to do with it.

It sucks that I have fallen of this show in its final year. I've loved every season. I loved every addition to the show, from the new crew they added in season 4, but I dunno, I guess they changed and replaced so many characters up to this point and well it was dragging, everyone is running in place and the new characters are blah.

I haven't seen anything from episode 14 (March 14) to now. Which ones are decent to catch up on?

Stage II Thymoma, actually.

From Wiki:

Quote:
Prognosis is much worse for stage III or IV thymomas as compared with stage I and II tumors. Invasive thymomas uncommonly can also metastasize, generally to pleura, bones, liver or brain in approximately 7% of cases.[1] Patients with stage III and IV tumors may nonetheless survive for several years with appropriate oncological management.
So it seems like Wilson's cancer is much more survivable than the show is presenting it to be. Even someone with a more advanced stage than Wilson has can survive for several years.

they are airing a 1 hour retrospective special before the finale, and the finale is 1 hour long as well.

wilson isn't THAT old, so any prospect of his life ending sooner than it should is a pretty big deal, even if it's not a huge possibility.

Welp, just got done watching the Season 1 reruns.

One down, seven to go...

Also, having read Transmetropolitan, House often strikes me as Spider if he had gone into medicine rather than journalism.

OMGGGGGGGGGGG yesssssss, my dream has come true for the finale, another casting spoiler: Cameron is coming back.

My satisfaction is now complete. Now to wait for it. Doubt it's a significant role, it mentions that the person shot a cameo, but hey, I'll take it. Now I just wonder if it's in the same vein as Cutner as a flashback or dream, or if she actually is gonna show up.

preview spoiler for the next episode:
now I am too lazy to hunt the preview down, but didn't he say that he wants an experimental drug instead of slowly dying for years, but the drug can kill him very fast if it doesn't work?

I bet anything it will be a happy ending. After Wilson dies of cancer House will realize he has no friends and is forever alone. I had thought he would just make up with his fake wife, but with so many actors coming back he'll probably re-propose to her or something and everyone will come back for Wilson's funeral and House's "real" marriage.

Quits PPH and moves away maybe then? Something that shakes House up and makes him realize he's forever alone.

I'm curious as to what brings these people back. I mean I think it's obvious why thirteen comes back, she will give Wilson some advice about having a disease where death is coming and all that.

Not sure how or in what context Masters, Kutner, and Cameron are coming back.

Kutner in some hallucination that Wilson has due to the experimental drugs, and Masters/Cameron show up for Wilson's funeral.

this season has been getting better reviews than the last few, seems generally well liked by all so I can't 100% relate to you, but... If you don't like it, what can we tell ya. Yeah it has gotten better. If you don't like it then don't bother, it's the final season, only a few more eps left till it's all over. If you care enough to catch the ending, then I guess you can skip to watching the episode before last, then the last episode, then the upcoming ones and you should be mostly caught up.

edit: guess you're banned for some reason, so you have time to watch now!!

Hey remember when I said tonights episode beings the final overall story leading into the end, here is a quote from Hugh Laurie to confirm:

Quote:
“The very end of [last week's episode], through the one I [directed] and really up until the finale, is sort of one journey… and I hope, if we’ve done it right, a fairly tense one,” says Laurie. Both Laurie and scene partner Robert Sean Leonard agree that it’s fitting that their alter egos peel away in this episode, as the series nears its end. “[They] are the only two characters on the show who decide to be together,” Leonard points out. “House works for Cuddy, and the team works for House…. They all have no choice; they have to be together. But House and Wilson actually voluntarily spend time with one another, which is unique to their relationship in this group of people.”
