Wait, what, did Deep Black just have a cutscene that promotes intelligent design? There was a short conversation where the main character calls god "the ultimate expert [on designing things]."

I don't see that as a problem. The game is a work of fiction, no? Drawing inspiration from a certain source shouldn't be frowned upon, imo.

According to Gary Whitta on Twitter, The Walking Dead Episode 1 is out on Friday for 400 points.

Bloodforge is to XBLA as Raventhorne is to XBLIG. Gory, pretty, dull, horrible messes...

Thanks.
is Splosion Man in the vein of Super Meat Boy/N+ type of platforming? |

Not really, no. Both because of the physics (your character is not really as agile as the characters in SMB/N+) and because of the game design (while there are die-and-die-again segments, they're fairly rare, and in most cases you can flub a jump without dying).

Splosion Man's co-op has some of the best and most difficult platforming in a video game. But the SP is more forgiving.

Cool, thanks for the help everyone. Trying to catch up on some "older" games I missed.

Gamespot is giving out codes for the Hybrid beta. I'm very skeptical about the game, so this'll be fun. (US only?)

No. With a camera/targeting patch, it'll be pretty good.

It's funny, mainly I asked because my 6 year old loves SMB and N+ despite how hard they are. He's actually pretty good at them. :)

This might sound weird, but if he likes SMB and N+, the absolute best thing to get him on is probably Trials Evo. It's the best 2D platformer on the service

I wish Sega would say even a small something on Monster World Collection.
We're literally two weeks away from it having been announced an entire year ago (and we're a month past the extreme limit of the vague release window they gave back then). |

The demo for Bloodforge has to be the worst I've ever downloaded I think. The actual gameplay part lasts about 2 minutes and gives you a taste of how to do light and heavy attacks and how to dodge and that's it.

Man... I'm not one to underestimate kids and I know how well they can learn, but Trials? It's so frustrating and difficult, the poor kid is going to cry the first time he finally gets over the Hard hump and loads up an Extreme level. Then he'll grow up to be emo and write shitty poetry. Why would you want to do that to the poor kid, toy?!

I just got him this: Xbox Live Arcade Triple Pack: Limbo, Trials HD, Splosion Man Only $13. He's surprisingly good at these sorts of platformers. He doesn't seem to mind that they are considered really hard. (SMB, N+ Trials, etc.) he doesn't beat the crazy hard levels, but he'll get farther than you would think lol.

Is there anything worthwhile I can buy for 400 points?
I only have Trials HD and Trials Evolution. Pretty new 360 owner, thanks. |

The second game basically includes the first game, and a ton of other modes on top! Okay, it's not exactly the same, but I think for someone new to the series there's literally no reason to pick up the first over the second.
