Well I agree for casual mode. Physics enabled objects are fun. For competitive mode they can be unbalancing or just annoying so it makes sense to disable them for competitive mode.

I love the tears in this game.

I played several hours yesterday, I'm starting to like the game but right now it's too far away from a proper e-sport game.
I need more servers though, I can only play with good latency in 4 argentinian servers atm, and they're always empty :(

Played two maps worth of demolition with 5 or so friends and pubs to fill out the rest last night and I gotta say it's a really great addition. Other than the shit weapon builds, it's a nice change of pace. Rounds go even faster and the maps have less raw area while still being plenty complex. I'm definitely going to be playing more of it from now on.

It's such a shame that CS Promod doesn't get the attention it deserves; I've installed the game the other day, there was only 4 or 5 people playing in one server, feels bad man.
The game is far for complete but already plays better than GO and Source.

Promod took like, 7 years to come out. You can't blame anyone for not giving a shit. It does play better than GO though.

• Fix for a bug where dropping the Famas in certain points in de_dust would cause the weapon to sink into the ground.

Miscellaneous:
• Relaxing the supported video card checks:
– Display an error and exit if the card doesn’t support shader model 3, bilinear PCF sampling, or cascaded shadow mapping. (No cards are actually marked as not supporting CSM in CS:GO.) So our minimal GPU is now the NVidia 6xxx series (2005), or ATI HD 2xxx (2006) or better.)

If the normal fanbase is mostly in, you will get your ass kicked if you aren't used to this style of game. It's different from the other shooters by far.

So this is the first time I've spent a decent amount of time with a Counter-Strike game, before this I've played about 2000 hours of TF2 which is less about precision aim but more about moving and prediction. I'm finding it very difficult to adjust.

With Nexon teaming up with valve to create CS:O2 based on the cs:go game I really hope that we will get cs:go similar to the eastern countries version japan korea and china and south east asian countries like the philippines will get. I believe their ecosystem will be much more enjoyable seeing as the game is f2p and with a really large community with a larger chance of competitive play due to prizes and competitions.

Has there ever been a true global cs tournament? I really hope western countries share the same competitive mode as the eastern countries so that we can have some really cool tournaments happening.

Can CS:GO/CS:O2 become a a truly popular mmofps that is radically different from other mmogs in structure?

How about a game mode where the map is three bombsite objectives per round in competitive mode? it will be 10 vs 10 with two 5v5 sections. the first part of the round splits the map to two locations with two bombsites each. once the two bombsites have been destroyed you move into the third bomb objective which is a much bigger section of the map that will support 10v10. you each get two lives per round 1 point for each firstr bombsite and 2 points for the second bombsite 5 points if you win all three bombsites in round.

you can use this map in 32 player or 40 player games and each round will only have two set bomb locations per round.

Exuro already answered your question, but I'll just point out that your Library and Inventory are functionally separate -- the latter contains only extra copies of games you already own and in-game items for titles which support Steam Trading (e.g. TF2 with its hats).

I got in today. I couldn't get into Counter Strike or Counter Strike Source. Something about the way guns feel and hitboxes just irked me the wrong way. Also the damn movement felt awkward. That was long time ago, but it all feels fresh and new now.

I'm actually killing people now!! There's still people who just decimate you the second even a strand of your hair pops out, but I'm having fun nonetheless.

I got the beta but can't bring myself to play it when compared to 1.6 or Source, it just lacks soul.

Also the menus and the way guns recoil just screams console port me. That weapon wheel on the Buy Menu is so obvious.

Yeah I filled that out more than a month ago. I probably wasted a good chunk of my life playing cs. From 1.3 and up, just like to see how this compares to 1.6, wasn't the biggest fan of cs source.

Strange, because CSGO has for many weeks had the recoil & movement changed/improved through PC community feedback...not console player feedback. Lots of people very happy right now, regarding the feel of the game.

As far as the weapon wheel (no impact whatsoever on the gameplay) and console port "feel"...sounds like someone is letting jaded nostalgia interfere with an objective opinion of the game.

Is Valve giving out 2 betas per person now? Logged into Steam today and saw I had a new gift, went to add it to my library when it said it was already in my library. I still have it in my inventory even though I installed and played the apparent existing one in my library.

glad to see some of the fixes that mentioned earlier are in effect. They still need to revamp the decals for bullet holes so they're not affected by anisotropic filtering.
