I really appreciate that the show gets published "early". Also, would have liked some Witcher2 talk as it is in the gaming zeitgeist a bit - but taking that Shacknews was all over the PC version, I guess that evens things out.
And good on Garnett for being as transparent as he could be right off the bat. I appreciate the candor. |

Also, I may have jumped the gun slightly. While everything I said was true, I wrote it immediately after getting into the queue. Five minutes later it still hadn't found me a game! |

Exactly. It's not entitled to desire to continue to have something you've already had for free forever :P We already pay our internet service providers monthly for bandwidth in the first place.

The Suda/Mikami episode of Full Moon Show - http://www.insomniacgames.com/epsiode-10-july-19-2007/
It's a shame that Ariel won't be a regular or occasional guest anymore. She was the backbone of PixelJunk Radio and a welcome addition to WC. |

But how come Shane still hasn't being on the PS Blogcast with Nick Suttner? That show could really do with having him on.

I think any dev, regardless of whether or not you provided assets, would be willing to give a lot of benefit of the doubt at this stage. |

All the good stuff was shoved into the last 20 minutes this week. E3 talk / predictions is always fun, Walking Dead sounds great and Graces F barely got mentioned.
Instead we get Garnett "fighting for the little guy" on paying for live for a good third of the show. Don't get me wrong, I agree with him, but 7 years into this console gen is alittle late to be picking that fight Anyway I loved everything they said about Walking Dead, but I hate zombies and gore so... I'll pass :/ I wish wish wish Jurassic Park was structured the same |

Or maybe the music they played just wasn't very good. But no, it's probably those whiny gamers who can't bear to hear anything that isn't their imported Final Fantasy OSTs.

Nice to hear Garnett come out against the Game Informer article. What annoys me the most about those types of articles is the solidarity I see from games press on twitter.
Yeah I get you're all a close knit group but don't go defending a guy asking if its better to projectile vomit or punch a kitten after playing a game. At least pretend you have some respect for your audience. That said I haven't even looked in the gaf thread, I'm sure a bunch of readers are saying crap also, only increasing the desire among press to defend one another You know between the xbox live rant and turning on a fellow writer I'm revising my "time-to-sony" estimate from 6 to 3 months :P Get him a good spot Ariel, something with ample podcasting time! |

I don't think it's even standing up for the gamer either. For example, Netflix is more popular in the US on the PS3 than on the Xbox 360, which is cheaper and way more popular console. Why is that? Charging a fee is a great business model if your customers are core gamers (like the 3 other people on the cast defending it) but it works completely against you if the goal is to be the box mainstream America use for all their TV entertainment options. |

My finishing move last week was about GAFfer Stooge's kickstarter for Tammany Hall, which just went up:

I thought the All-Stars discussion was fine. I can see how it might be awkward though, and that's a little disappointing if I'm honest. The Sony first-party stuff is my favourite so I love it when it gets discussed on podcasts etc. It would be a shame if Weekend Confirmed had to tone down that sort of coverage simply because of personal circumstances.
I trust Garnett's objectivity, so as long as he's not revealing anything he shouldn't, I hope he's able to find a way to continue covering Santa Monica games without any weirdness. I'm really looking forward to the God of War chatter this week for example. |
