Aye, agreed! They even had a dev diary specifically talking about the sound design of the game, which come with some interesting insight and samples HERE.
Special attention to the Theme Song Recording session, and Lonestar's Killstreak Theme, which makes me feel like watching a Bravestar Marathon, lol. Really like the fact that characters play there themesongs for killstreaks. The perfect way to motivate good play in a match! |

For those interested, GAMEFAN posted a commentary-free playthrough of the 7 stages of Fable Heroes.
http://gamefanmag.com/features/video...h-fable-heroes I found the game kinda lacking in pure gameplay previews (just cut-filled hype trailers and talked-over replays of the same snippets OVER and OVER), so this is appreciated. I'm not sold on ANYTHING Fable related after the mass deflation caused by the latter half of Fable II, but hack-and-slash brawlers are always something I want more of... |

What XLBA games are there to look forward to? I only know about the Fable spinoff and Deadlight.
I just got a 4200 point card I'm wondering if I should spend it all or save some for upcoming releases. |

I'm super hyped for Joe Danger The Movie, Jet Set Radio, and Tony Hawk HD. All 3 should be out in the next few months.

Just went into Gamestop and it was plastered with boxes for Minecraft XBLA. Are they selling codes of it or something?

Best Buy does as well. Have for quite some time but I don't believe it's really ever advertised or talked about in store so it's largely an unknown thing. Even has them online. I just searched for Call of Duty: Elite and that's online for sale.

JAM: Live Music Arcade is out on May 16th. Does anyone know what the hell it is?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DfYwqEXmVE I've watched this trailer, and it seems to be something to do with guitar controllers but aside from a little bit at the end, I can't work out what's happening at all. |

I'm still looking forward to Retro City Rampage (Which is confirmed for sometime in May), Kung Fu Strike (Which seems to float around May or June), and 2 games we really need to hear more about, that seem to have been forgotten, Dungeon Fighter Live, and Happy Wars. (Both published by Microsoft, so expect them to get revealed as PlayXBLA exclusive reveals any day now...)
Klei's also suppose to bring out Mark of the Ninja this summer, so it should be approaching soon. Black Knight Sword from Grasshopper, and who can forget Double Dragon Neon?!? (^_^;) It's nice getting to play Hybrid in it's current Beta, definitely looks like one to watch. Crimson Dragon (take a peek at it's avatar awards) also seems like it should be out fairly soon. So that's definitely one to look forward to, if you have a Kinect. Atari's newest Warlords remake has had Avatar Items and trailers up on LIVE forever. It's got to be pushed out with the old 200 point standard clearout sometime soon, right? For Atari, I thought this looked like one of their better, more ambitious XBLA releases...
Every time I see a music game like this, I just wish it was PS2's Amplitude, lol. None of them ever look as cool, or as fun, but the upcoming Rockband XBLA titles at least looks like one of the closest in a long while...

How does something like this came to notice only a few days before a game's release? Man, this has to be pretty annoying for Ronimo too. Such an unfortunate story. Well, hope they get things sorted soon, preferably before Wed! |

Someone on another forum mentioned that they saw an ad on their dashboard that stated they get 400 points back if they buy any of the Arcade Next titles. I don't see that message on my dash. Is this a limited deal?

I REALLY enjoyed The Walking Dead. An interactive cartoon with some mediocre to great voice acting. Why not weekly instead of monthly episodes? =(

I am a huge fan of Braid and Limbo and would like to ask if there is a similar xbl arcade game already out or if something alike will come out in the near future.

If you liked Braid SERIOUSLY check out Misadventures of PB Winterbottom, give the demo a try. Tis a forgotten gem.
http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Pr...5-d802584109d9 I'd maybe even put some Outland/Shadow Complex in there or even N+, more platformy/action though than puzzle. OH and as for future, keep an eye out for Deadlight this summer (puzzle/action based) GAF thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=459321

If you needed more reason to whip out your virtual wallet and splash some digital dosh on the games included in the upcoming Arcade NEXT promotion, how's this for an incentive: Microsoft has announced that anyone who purchases any of the four titles between 18 April and 15 May will get 400 MS Points back! |

By now episode 2 might be about "done"? (As in content complete but needs to get through cert). I don't know exactly how their schedule works but they definitely don't have all of them done beforehand, and often are able to adjust things people complain about early in the season to be better later on. |

yeah, that would be too good a promotion. 400 pts for just buying one game is far too generous.
400 for buying all games maybe... |

That's so fucking shady. I bet there's no warning before you buy them that they're basically useless. Imagine trying to play Scrabble offline, having to leave the room when it's not your turn so you don't see your opponents letters.

Says on the game descriptions that you can't play online anymore. I think they need to make it way more obvious though.

That is shocking.
If they are going to reduce this on the day the servers go off, then they should at the very least bundle the whole lot up at 800 points all in. They'd at least get a few extra sales and less of a headache. Makes little sense the way they have done it. I assume they are turning the servers off due to lack of activity, yet when each game is 800 points, then many will be put off buying surely? Especially when you could get them on disc for less. The model was a good one (just look at Pinball FX 2) but the pricing royally fucked it for them. |

6/10 - Eurogamer 5.5/10 - RipTen 3.5/10 - Destructoid 6/10 - EDGE 3/5 - Digital Spy 3.5/5 - Pocketlint 8/10 - CraveOnline I haven't read all those, but looking over them, it looks like most people went into this expecting Fable Crashers, rather than Fable Gauntlet, as the dev diary in the other thread claims as inspiration. That's probably the wrong way to look at this game. The comments about unresponsive controls do concern me though, but not enough to not try the demo! If Fable Heroes came out for 10 bucks back during the years of XBLA releases like Street Trace and Arkadian Warriors, it'd probably have been a stand out of excellence and value on the service, just from what's seen in previews. I wonder if people expectations have just changed that much... |
