Mutant Mudds sequel "will happen one day" #1

http://www.nintendoenthusiast.com/jo...ham-3ds-wii-u/

From a Jools Watsham interview.

Quote:
NE: Well, now that you mention it, congratulations on Mutant Mudds both commercially and critically. Will we see a sequel one day? How will you top the original?

Jools: Thank you very much. Yes, a sequel will happen one day. I must keep the details secret for now. Sorry.
Mutant Mudds 2 confirmed!

More things to do. I like running and gunning but it needs like some type or RPG leveling system, different types of weapons, a more varied world, etc.

And please get rid of the Virtual Boy worlds as the black contrast is really not fun to look at in 3D.

Seems like it may already be in the works. Not that it surprises me; Nintendo pimped the hell out of the game and it's done quite well. I'm definitely down for a sequel.

Whaaa? Make it harder, please! I mastered the game in 2 days across three sittings. I think my final time clocked in at 3 hours and some change. I really enjoyed MM, but it needed bosses and more stages/stage variety. I'm down though whenever this drops. =)

I've been looking to pick up this game, but the demo kinda turned me off. Didn't particularly like the music, the character or how slow the game felt. Am I correct in assuming that this is just how it's like in the beginning, and that the game picks up after? I'd love to get in on some more eshop content.

No way. I enjoyed the challenge. Felt a sense of accomplishment when I got 100% completion.

I'd prefer if they kept it the same but added some (read: ANY) unique bosses and more enemy types. I also think Max could stand to loosen up control wise a little, but that might change the game too much.

Nope. It was too easy! There were really only one or two levels which made me break a sweat.

I mean, it'd be fine if the difficulty were kept at the same level, but it certainly should not be decreased.

They could add difficulty settings so normal people like me can get through it, and also have a super hard difficulty for you masochists.

Awesome, a sequel to the secret best sequel to Wario Land. I don't think they should make it less difficult, really, but no more levels like 4-4 where you have to luck against cheap hits. OR...give us an option for upgrading to extra hearts.

Please remove the time limit. I don't mind if some sections of the levels are a little difficult if I can take my time with them, but the timer was pretty strict in MM so the tough sections were really frustrating because I felt I had to rush through them.

I should get around to buying the first one. I freakin loved what little i've played of the demo.

I honestly would love to one day play the original 3D version of Mutant Mudds, tho. Looked incredible.

Straight from Jool's mouth, Mutant Mudds 2 is likely to come out in 2013. He's also working on another retro platformer "inspired" by another one of their games. Possible Moon 2D resurrection?

Also, Mutant Mudds hitting Europe in mid-late June, and a Steam and iOS ports are under heavy consideration right now. "To make more money so we can make more eShop games."
