Sony is having it's own conference on the 10th, makes me wonder if we will see anything else, or get more information from it, because unless Sony thinks this is going to be huge I can't seem them having a conference for one Vita game. The early art looks awesome, i'm looking forward to see whats up with it personally. It would be great is Sony announces PS1 support aswell, but if they do it would probably be just for Japan, atleast until E3.

They did announce a pretty big deal in the form of pso2 in game heaven though. That is nt a bad thing imo. It is just the format of the thing which needs to be worked on.

Yeah it's possible, It's hard to tell anything really from what we have seen, but it's easy to see from the art why some people get a Demon's Soul vibe from it. I think it would be a pretty cool concept to have a sort of Demon's Souls/ Monster Hunter hybrid with a magic based focus, but we will have to wait to see whats up their sleeves. The 10th is close though so not too much longer.

Also, yes I agree that the gaming heaven thing was misguided to an extent (even if i'm excited for some of the announcements, PSO, and Inafune's game), but I think this is different. From what i've read this will actually be a conference with press attendance, atleast thats the way it was described. Which is why while Soul Sacrifice might be the main attraction, I think there will be other things shown aswell. Either way it's obviously something that Sony has some faith in.

Thats a good question, I don't know the answer sadly. Might get an answer asking in the Japanese Vita thread. Wonder if the Japanese/English ad means they might try for a WW release for the game.

At least the Minis on the Vita PSN Store. There are still a handful of incompatible titles listed in the OP. I've only tried Canabalt myself and that works fine.

Yeah fuck my Vita died, whenever I connect the USB cable the touchscreen becomes unresponsive for whatever reasons even when I charge it with the adapter.
Can't start the content manager/navigate shit unless I disconnect the cable then the touchscreen is working fine again.

Personally, I think the game/memory card pack-ins will be what we get for holiday 2012 pricing incentive. Sony are really good at sitting tight on the pricing of "under-performing" hardware for the first year or more; they're not likely to suddenly get all panicky with the Vita just because a few people on GAF have been crying "VITA is DOOMED!" from the virtual battlements. Sony know the system will sell as they continue to release the games their target audience (you know, the "hard core" who want to play FPSs everywhere) wants, and when there are lulls in the 3DS software release line-up. I think they also know that time is ultimately on their side. The hardware is good enough to last another 7 or 8 year run, like the PSP. As things stand, they have some good games out, some more coming, and they aren't losing money, which makes the Vita okay to support as a slow burn...

On a side note, though I haven't got too far into it, I'm loving the Story Mode in Mortal Kombat. Haven't played an MK game since the PSP version, so this is a lot of fun! Plus, I got it for only $20 (bought a $40 used copy of Arkham City at Best Buy using a Gamer Zone email 50% off coupon, then walked over to Future Shop and traded it for MK Vita on their Trade 1 Get It Free promotion. Sweet!)

Well, fuck that. I was able to get the silver medals in the muscle car and buggy events but would need to do flawless runs in order to get the gold. The length of the races in this game is a dual-edged sword; short races are ideal for portable play yet preclude the player's ability to recover from a mistake.

Is the game still planned for the VITA ? On the PS-Blog the game is tagged as PS3/PSN game. This is correct. Alien Spidy is a PSN (PS3) XBLA (xbox) PC and MAC title. Of course we are always looking to get Spidy on to as many platforms as possible. We are currently evaluating the possibility of Spidy on the Vita.

I rented Dynasty Warriors Next, and it gave me a warning that I wouldn't be able to get any trophies because I wasn't the first person to open the application? Told me I needed to clear the date first or something. So I cleared the file and tried again, but am having the same issue. Has anyone come across this yet? I'm finding it a little irritating that they won't allow trophies if you didn't buy the game new.

Did you mean data? You have to delete the game's bubble and then it should let you get trophies. All your saved data will be lost though. Happened to me with a used marvel and it worked after I deleted.

Finally got my hands on mine. Pretty sweet. I've got a load of games on my 8gig card (and Rayman hardcopy). But quickly realised that the 8gig won't be enough (it's already full). I lost my FEB travel case a couple of weeks ago.

Bought the official Vita carrying case to replace it. I like the media stand feature but I wish it covers the Vita on both sides. 8^/

I dropped my unprotected Vita on the tarmac. This is before I bought the official case. It's chipped and cracked on both ends now. Fortunately, the thing still runs perfectly. Even if I had the case on, I suspect it would still be scratched on both ends.

Other than that, I like the convenience of the carrying case too.

You can find some really good deals on used Vitas on ebay and craigslist. I got mine used off of ebay and I feel like I got a great deal.

they have not given one, but most of us think that they are saving it for an E3"announcement" especially since a ps1 game went up on the Euro Vita store recently. It got taken down, but it already had a live area, and seemed working other than the fact that it would not actually play.

I really would not be surprised if it's something that Jack says is available "right now" during the conference.
