Star Wars Kinect Bundle Official Price Drop
#1
Just got an email from my Microsoft rep this morning. The Star Wars Kinect bundle is dropping down to $399.99, effective today ($50 price drop).
Anybody sitting on the fence with this one? The system itself has an interesting design. Personally, I have little to no interest in Kinect gaming. |

I love the look of it, but even at $400 it's still over priced. Maybe if it drops a little further, but I've already got a perfectly good OG 360 so it's hard to justify that.

I just saw the amazon email about the new price and my opinion is unchanged. I think the console looks nice, and would like to have one, but not at that price.
I couldn't give less of a shit about kinect, and it's too late in the generation to be spending that kind of money for a bundle when the new consoles will likely hit next year. Oh well, I really wanted a crystal LE xbox last gen, but my life moved on without it. |

People were hot for the console for Xmas 2011, all the game stores nearby had double digit orders, but interest waned when there was the delay that pushed it into the new year and people used their fist-full of cash for something else.
You can't delay shit that's targeted strongly towards the casual crowd. Gamers will begrudgingly put up with pushed back dates but the general public will say "It's not on the shelf? Fuck this noise" and buy an iPad during the holiday. |

Oh shit. I bought one of these 2 weeks ago for my kids. I got it from Best Buy. Don't they have some sort of 'price drop guarantee' or something?
By the way, it's pretty awesome. I wouldn't have bought it otherwise, but my kids wanted their own 360 so I had an excuse. The R2D2 sounds it makes when you open the disc tray and press the power button are a nice touch. edit: This certainly is a policy. Gonna go get my $50! |

Ordered mine on Monday and then the price drop hit Wednesday. I emailed Amazon as soon as I heard about the drop and they refunded me the extra $50 almost immediately. Not bad.

Not holding my breath though. As for this bundle, console looks good, pad looks awful but no way am I going to give any money towards the game. |

Any chance these might become collectable eventually? Would it be at all a good idea to buy one in hopes of selling it for big $ later?
Just wondering. But yeah for the same price as the standard 250GB+Kinect, why wouldn't you buy this? Unless you just think it's ugly, which I kinda do. |

Videogames at this point are like baseball cards, in terms of buying for resale value later. Collect because you want to, not to try and turn a profit. |

shh! it's already 2014!

Don't care about a game, but I'm a sucker for that console and controller.
