The Yotes could spoil the party, though. I suppose it's possible the Rangers won't come out of the East, but I think they'll do it. |

I thought this post on CSN Philly made a lot of sense., although the takeaway is that for the Flyers to win the series they need Pronger and Mezaros to come back fully healthy on Sunday.

The Flyers do go with a more high risk high reward approach then most teams, but it worked great for them against the Pens, and has worked well at times this series. Their problem is the they are just making so many bad turnovers, even on plays when they are not being pressured, and Bryz isnt going to erase all of those mistakes. If the Flyers just clean up the turnovers and start carrying in the puck against the Devils, rather then always dump and chase, they will be fine. Marty hasnt exactly been a wall this series, the Flyers just havnt been able to sustain pressure so far.
Hey we dont need that cocky stuff here. Just tip your cap to the Yotes and talk about how good they are. |

I'm actually NOT trolling. The goal is to win the Stanley Cup ASAP. If the Kings do that this year, then the trades made the Kings better, not the Flyers, as the players the Flyers sent the other way put the Kings over the top.

It isnt an either or proposition. Both the Flyers and Kings can improve their team even though at most only 1 can win the cup. If the Kings get to the SCF but lose to the Rangers are you saying that they didnt improve at all, does only 1 team per season improve?

The Richards trade is much more debatable because the Flyers sent him directly to the Kings and he is a much better player, especially in the postseason. |

"Real Hockey" happened last night when the Kings beat the Blues. There's also real hockey tonight when the Coyotes move within 1 win of going to the Western Conference Finals!

The article posted by Curufinwe is bang on, which is sad.
A pretty one-dimensional team which lavy is to blame. Really, we could pull this one out just by getting pucks to the net and getting some bounces, but it's gonna be hard if we continue to play the same style we have been all year. You know Lavy in the locker room is going "KEEP PLAYING OUR GAME" :/ If we run into the rags next round, we get swept. They know exactly how to play us and matchup perfectly against us. |

Small sample size, plus istn it a pretty common thing for a team to pull together and play better in the short term when they lose a good player, but it isnt usually sustainable long term. Maybe they plan to switch them back in after a lose but they are in a tough spot. One more lose and they will be facing elimination. An example that is almost the same was the Pens had Neal suspended for game 4, they won that game which was their first win of the series, game 5 he was right back in the lineup.

Coaches do that all the time, just because it's Radulov doesn't change anything, I don't see how you explain to the 2 guys you have to take out that you're putting him and AK back in after a 2-0 victory. It's also pretty funny watching Elliot finally get exposed.

Quick has stuggled historically against Nashville so the Yotes would be a better matchup. During the regular season Bernier got most of the playing time against Nashville and he has gone 6-1 against Nashville but I doubt he would see any ice time in the playoffs.

Whoops, new thread:
Hey guys! Just got back from my 1week-vacation in the Dominican, is anybody still watching? -cough- What are some memorable events/gifs that I've missed? I'd appreciate any kind of bringing me up do date, for what it's worth. Thanks! As a sidenote, I saw someone indigenous wearing a Higgins-21-Canadians shirt, made me lol a bit. |

Nice. So pathetic. All hail the Kings i guess. The last team from the west I saw play with that look in their eye were the 07 Ducks. We are just out matched. Brown is the most skilled agitator I've ever seen play the game.
If the Kings play like this through the rest of the conference finals they will steam roll NY. |

It has been hurting too much to look in these threads as a Blues fan. We've completely fallen apart. It feels like all of our momentum vanished when Pietrangelo got hurt and that short handed goal was scored against us.
I hope we can get at least one win, but if all else fails we always have the Cardinals. |
