The survival ones weren't too bad but trying to get medals for trick it and race it in explore was a real pain in the ass for me.

But it was a pain in a good way as in providing a challenge. The high scores are set with the cold in mind and you have to challenge yourself to find new ways to use the mountain without risking too much shade.

The game would be boring if everything was easy.

Good to see they're removing the ExTrEmE stuff from some of the runs. I'm pretty sure the O2 one in particular has kept me away from a number of tracks.

The 02 and rockies were the only extreme conditions I ever had a problem with. Rockies because its just, that one fucking map, is so god damn hard/pain in the ass to deal with. 02 is more annoying than hard.

I dislike the dusk orange lighting. I want original Bulldog back. Nice to see them remove the O2 requirement. I think even the biggest defenders of the survival element disliked that one.

I'm definitely not sad to see O2 go. The controller wrangling was a bit too much for me.

I love the shade ones because they're essentially free-ride with a twist for me, personally. A slow and calculated route is what works best -- a little bit of track memorization is required so that you can plan (and adjust on the fly!) your route properly. They're the most zen of all the survive it events, if you ask me. Those tracks just feel great to ride too, in my opinion: lots of awesome sun! I wish I could visit and ride a few of those runs in real life...

I'm really liking the new feature GE/GE of the day. It really crowds that one track with people, which really gives it the feeling of "you're on a ski hill with other riders -- but going down at 100+ KPH." Good to see the devs make these changes.

I really want to love this game - I really do - but every time I play I just end up quitting out of frustration. And while the classic DLC was nice, I think it speaks volumes for how well it's been recieved. I think I'll be trading this in shortly as well and it kind of breaks my heart a little. I love SSX, but this game has some huge missteps.

I checked the songs in the dashboard music player and they all play without issue.

While I'm asking noobish questions... Is it worth buying boards before getting to level 10? I have a race character and trick character leveled up to ten if I'm going for medals or high scores, seems like a waste to spend money on low level boards.

Seriously. I can't even make a legit attempt at your score. I was on par to hit at least 90+...which is still way below your top of the pops, but I bailed with like 350 meters left. Ugh...

I can use the remix setting when streaming from the PC. I think the echo and reverse effects kill a good song so I turn it off. Am I missing anything else by not ripping songs to my HD?

No I stopped bothering doing the burn CD thing a whole back and just popped my iPod into my Xbox. So much easier and I think after the novelty of the effects wears off it makes for a better experience. Especially when I'm geotag hunting, all those rewinds really kill the flow of the music.

Finally got the game. I'm really enjoying it so far. Wingsuits are badass. I'll wait for the DLC though until I exhaust the current stuff. Even though that seems like it could be a long way off.

Hmm, these 15-30 minutes events are a good idea, but I with they were alternating on the same peak, rather than repeat on the same exact run.

So that when the time runs out on a 15 minute event, you move onto another run for 15 minutes, then another then another.

I did make 10 million in half an hour though. The race ones are not bad at all. Easy golds without much effort.

Goddamn these new global events system, TWICE NOW I should have been awarded credits for placing in platinum and, nothing. Drop costs gone.

EA Servers would continously disconnect me after I'm done placing in Platinum with my runs and then I would sign back in to get no rewards.... and now the game just froze after paying the 2MILL entry fee for a GE, fucking great.

WOW! Siberia at dusk...just wow. It's like a whole new map to me (it was one of my favorites). Setting it at night time was not doing it ANY favors. Most of the maps are pretty lackluster at night but this is a massive improvement. I know they couldn't just set every map at dusk but just...wow.

Side note, I just noticed left trigger exists haha, moves are less spectacular when I tweak with left trigger, any reason behind this?

Just a reskin, but they count as new characters meaning they start at level 1. Kind of lame if you ask me, I wish I hadn't bought them. The mountains cool though.

I've just been spamming the double exp event. Got Elise to 10, Mac is almost at 11 and got Zoe to 11. Still no lvl 11 legendary gear for Zoe ='(

Can you even level smoothly in GE? I got 120k for a diamond position with Mac but that's nothing spectacular even with double exp? :S Am I doing it wrong? Doesn't seem much faster than Explore mode to me. I usually get 10k or 20k now per run if I get Gold I think. Makes GE completely pointless from a leveling stand point.

First run is like 20k, but for whatever reason if you keep restarting, you'll get like 120-160k each time.

Yeah, with some dumb luck I got a Platinum in the Bulldog Trick Event. I've now leveled every single character up to 9 including the retro people. Eddie is 11 and Tane is 10. I may bring a few others to 10 or 11 before the weekend is over by continually doing that track.

I once got a 1st place among 30 or so in explore on my first try, and it was half-assed and I never could do it again, I LOLED.
