Crap, we got tickets to the Houston show since the Austin one sold out more or less immediately and we missed out on it.. booked our hotel last night in anticipation of making the drive IMMEDIATELY after work since the doors were scheduled to open at 8. They announced today they're postponing Houston and Austin due to Duke having a family emergency. >< Doubt we can get a refund on our hotel.. ugh.

The album has leaked.
BLM made me doubtful of new material, and Blood For Poppies didn't sit well with me initially, but it seems my fears were unwarranted. The album is wonderful. I'm strangely uncomfortable making threads, so if anyone feels like making a new thread to discuss it, that would be great ;) |

The videos for I Think I'm Paranoid and Push It were pretty much the sexiest things I'd ever seen at the time (sheltered kid). Ah, the memories.
When it comes to superproduced, almost mechanical fakey pop, Garbage is at the top of the heap. The first two albums are fantastic. I think I tried listening to the 3rd album once, and never went back or tried any later ones. |

Unfortunately, I think the album is pretty weak. Tracks like Big Bright World and Not You Kind of People are total cringe fests, borderline unlistenable.
Automatic Systematic Habit, Control and Battle In Me are great tracks but I think that's about it for the album... |

Got the deluxe version from Amazon Germany today.
The packaging is not what I expected - especially not for a "deluxe" version. It's just a folded paper slipcase, not even a digipack. There seems to be a booklet, but I'm sending it back, because it's not worth the premium price. Pity, because I was looking forward to the physical album. Already downloaded the deluxe version from iTunes. |
