God dammit, it's a shame she was sick. I don't know if the song choice was a good decision either. It was pretty good, but Chris Mann just stole the show tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up winning now because of it. Sad. Juliet deserves better. Still... if Chris sang like this all the time, I would've voted for him much sooner. If Tony or Jermaine wins... :'(

To be fair, Tony was great when he covered Yesterday with Adam. The other two, though... Jermaine was good on I Believe I Can Fly. His cover of Blake's song was okay, but that duet... just awful.

EDIT: I wonder if NBC was ever tempted to bring Chris onto Smash. As long as he has somewhat decent acting skills, I'm sure the show could benefit a lot.

If early iTunes ratings mean anything, Tony is running away with this thing. 1500 ratings, about 700 more than 2nd highest.

I loved all the duets tonight except Ceelo's. That was weak. Chris was far and away the best of the night. Juliet looked completely disinterested during Crazy, but she pulled it together for Free Bird. Jermaine was my least favorite overall.

Best solo performance - Chris
Best duet - Tony/Adam

This is a hard one. I am not 100% on any one person, but I could totally see the chick or Tony wining it all. I think Mann is to niche and the other dude just wasn't that great.

If iTunes sales are any indicator, Tony Lucca has two songs in the top 10. Juliet has one (Free Bird). Chris Mann is holding spots 11 and 12. My head says Tony, my heart hopes its Juliet.

Whoever is getting a cut of the sales from iTunes is winning. 4 songs in the top 10, 6 in the top 20, well over 10 in the top 100. Idol and X Factor have never produced so many hit singles.

Idol doesn't officially display song rankings through iTunes. Occasionally, it leaks, but generally not. All the contestants get a cut of iTunes sales.

Also, song purchases count as a vote on The Voice, so that likely skews the totals high.

I don't know about X Factor.

Song purchases aren't votes on The Voice after the semi-finals. You can also judge relative sales of Idol songs by the number of people rating it. Voice tracks get thousands of ratings. The good ones, anyway. Idol contestants are lucky to see a couple hundred. I think the best Idol track last week finished with 88 user ratings.
