Got preorders in for Red Hawk and the reissue of mai husbando Dickeido. Man, with Akiba Yellow, Red Hawk and Dickeido August is gonna be expensive.
Lost Heroes, a first person dungeon crawler Rider/Gundam/Ultraman crossover was announced for 3DS late last year but I don't think there's been much news in a while.

Yeah, original Meteor is really cool, especially it's asymmetrical design. Makes him look edgy. Same for the dark blue and black color scheme.
Meteor Storm uses the same color scheme as ShinkenGold, but it doesn't really look good with it. Looks like one of those flavored ice cream lollipops they sell on ice cream trucks that go around the neighborhood. |

I've been watching Kamen Rider W and I got a question...
What's everyone's take on the "secondary Riders" of each series? Like who had the coolest henshin's or powers or who was just lame for a Rider outside of the title Rider character in a series? Since I've been watching Kamen Rider W here's my take on Kamen Rider Accel... ![]() pic 1 pic 2 I have to say I think he looks wrong to me for a Rider...so bulky. Though that may be because he is next to Kamen Rider W who is very low end on armor bulkiness creating this effect. Also the thing where he turns into a motorcycle is just laughably silly to me...however I am in love with his sword. ![]() The thing works like a break action rifle and he slots in Gaia Memories into it to give it different abilities. He always slots in Engine and each other memory he slots changes its powers Jet=bitching projectile Electric=shocking Steam=Burning steam attacks Best use of a gunblade thing I've seen since pulling the trigger activates an ability and not a bullet on it. Feel free to post your thoughts on whatever secondary riders you wanna talk on be it you hating on them or loving on them. Just tell us why because I can't be the only new guy to so many Riders here and it'd be cool to discuss various Riders for awhile and all their stuff. Here's hoping Kamen Rider TheBee comes up |

Kamen Rider Fourze For me first and foremost I have to say most recently I'm digging Meteor (duh). The suit design fits very well with the motif of Fourze, while I think his actual moves are silly like planet fisting and such, I think the whole disco Bruce Lee gimmick is really cool. I do like the Saturn rings attack though. Above everything else the actual character of Ryuusei is what I like most. Initially he comes off as just another douche secondary but you learn more about his character almost right after he debuts. Kamen Rider Den O Kamen Rider Zeronos is probably the only thing I really like about Den O besides the comedy bit. It's another Rider who I think is well rounded in terms of character and the relationship he has with his Imagin Deneb is down right charming. Zeronos' weapons aren't anything spectacular but I like how its a good mix up range and melee. Vega form was ugly though. Kamen Rider Kiva I'll just say that seeing Nago walk into his henshin was the coolest. I think Nago is too one dimensional as a character. I was going to touch on Ryuki but then I thought "who's actually considered secondary on that show??" lol.

![]() Hibiki, Ibuki and Todoroki felt like they were true comrades in battle. They cover each other's weaknesses and each has a role to the story. ![]() The other one I liked is Zeronos. He has a massive consequence in using his power, I like how he practically told himself to keep fighting. |

Zeronos was such an awesome design. But to be fair, i really liked all of the secondary and villain designs from den-o like gaoh and yuuki

Also was Nago Kamen Rider Ixa? If so that dude looks friggin' awesome and every clip I've snuck and watched ahead of the series seems to portray him as a complete badass. Zeronos is one I haven't read up on yet though. I'll have to check up on him since Den-O is one of those series where comedy ran amok and I wonder how things came across (though I love the rice guy from all I've seen and may enjoy it).
Also, wow at all the Zeronos. Two for Two responses quoting him and we've just started discussing secondary Riders. What are some of his moves like? You have my attention with this guy and he is now on my radar.

Ryuusei isn't a super bad ass by any means, but his personality and his reason for fighting makes it hard to dislike him despite him doing some questionable things, especially when the shit hits the fan.
Zeronos' weapons are kind of cool. As I mentioned he has a mix of melee and range, he has a crossbow that doubles as a sword when he gets up close. I may be forgetting some since it has been a while. |

That's awesome. The miniatures used for these shows always fascinate me. In the age of CGI, honest physical models are a rarity.
Also, Fourze vs. OOO Movie Max. The fight scenes for the movie were fantastic, probably the best I have seen from Kamen Rider. Sakamoto is an excellent director for this genre, it's amazing how much Power Rangers' tiny budget limited him. However, I still don't like the formula for these movies (having it separated into sections). Although this one did it better than the previous one, it was still very tiring to sit through. Also, it's cool how the movie had a fully CGI fight scene, just like Iron Man. However, it was still cartoony, since their CGI is not really up to making it look as good as live action suits. Felt more like an animated version of the show, but baby steps are good steps. |

Damn the last ep of Akibaranger blew Gobuster's away in characterization. It was already doing it, but this took up about 10 levels.
In the Super Hero Taisen movie, anyone want to bet the way I imagine the Gokaiger as OOOs will be 100x better then what happens on screen? I mean Doc with an army of clones? |

I was more distracted by the terrorist attack that destroyed a giant ship that crashed on a city that killed thousands of people, after the protagonists put picture frames of their dead students inside so that they could go into space just like they wanted back when they were alive.

Okay I gotta know something. Is there any character more irritating than Akiko in Kamen Rider W? She overacts everything she does and does it while screaming at the top of her lungs and slipper slapping everyone. Maybe if she was mute like Harpo Marx this character could be entertaining, but she is one giant harpy of irritating dumb from beginning of Kamen Rider W till the end.
Is anyone else this irritating or does she hold the tiara for biggest "needs to STFU" character in Kamen Riders? |

Shizuka has no relevance to anything in Kiva whatsoever. I'm not even sure he's aware of Kivat and Wataru's powers or not. She's just...there. And then there were times when she was just written out of the show for a while and came back for no reason. |

Comes in thread.
Sees that he wasn't the only one who teared up at the end of Akibarangers 5. Doesn't feel so bad now. That episode was so touching. The last two episodes of a Toku that did that for me was W Episode Final and PGSM 47. Evil Ryuuji is Go-Busters right now. And Genny's got a girlfriend. |

See, it's weird. I like Go-Busters, but I don't like Go-Busters at the same time. I feel like the only weak point is the writing, which is sad coming from the writer of Shinkenger, Timeranger, and Gingaman. Maybe she's just burnt out. She did Shinkenger, then not long after OOO, then not long after Go-Busters. Who knows?
I mean, I love the designs of the suits, the mecha, the weapons, the visual parts of the show, etc but the characters are boring and the plots seem lazy in the writing. Like, it's cool that they keep losing and stuff, but its almost like they don't care at all. Not even a "sorry we lost the earring that means so much to you and helped the bad guys gets one huge step closer to kicking our asses...". And this past episode...it was straight out of Gingaman (and for those of you who haven't seen Gingaman, they did use the plot in Lost Galaxy). It's too bad because this show could be very cool but it just feels like the writing is just NOT THERE. :-/ And btw, thanks for posting the capture of the Engrish email she sent Yoko. :P |

I don't think it's the problem of the writing, at least for me. I think it's the problem of either the director, editor, choreographer, music team, or creative heads that make the show seem really stale and boring.
It is in direct contrast with Gokaiger, which was always upbeat and exciting, it had really good pacing that never allowed for a dull moment. But in Go-Busters, even the fight scenes seem like dull moments. |

Fourze
I love the new opening clips, it shows how much everything has developed since the series' beginning. Capricorn had a pretty cool design, and it's good that we have JK's character development episode since he never had any important role ever since Meteor came. Go-busters I'm not feeling anyone concern about Go-busters actually, but maybe that's because I don't watch many Sentai before. I still like how the team is often split out to deal with threats in different places. Also again Enter succeeds. |

I've watched a couple Kamen Rider series in the past (the first series and Black) and I was wondering if anyone could suggest others? Likewise, I've watched a handful of Super Sentai series (Zyuranger, Jetman, and a pieces of a few others) and some suggestions on what to watch next would be nice. |
