That leads me to believe he might have controlled a LMD when he went to find that weapon... who knows.

The nuke did more good than bad in the end. They were going to close the portal anyways but that nuke saved them from cleaning up the remaining ground forces.

if the enemies were magically radio controlled, surely closing the portal would still have shut them down? The portal reduces the distance between the two points in space so the control will work. close it and the signal won't reach.

Am I the only one that assumes the homing bracelet thing will be a plot point in IM3? Note: I don't read the IM comics.

Given Tony's obsession with having cool ways to put on his suit, I'd imagine this is the first thing he finished.

Well, as silly as it sounds, Thors lighting super charged the suit to 400%, and Thor dropped the hammer when he was fighting Tony. Thor did have the edge for most of that fight.

It's kinda funny, the movie series that needs the most work, Thor, is the one that has the shortest production times. They really should care about not getting those out the door so quickly, as the first one already felt very rushed.

Not gonna happen. 2014 release would mean shooting in 2013, and Cap 2 and Ant Man or whatever they choose are being shot then.

Avengers 2 will be shot in 2014 and released in 2015. Book it.

Immortal as in cannot die....NO, you could with great effort beat Thor and any asgardian to death.
Immortal as in he lives multiple multiple human life times to the point that us as humans would rather just label him as immortal....YES

Asgardians can die, but their lives are too long for us probably even them, to care.

Well you could say so....but there is an entity above God, and thats the One Above All
The One Above All is the Writers....he(they) is(are) the most powerful entity in Marvel as he(they) control everything that is.....even the living tribunal.

If TOAA wills it, it is....they could retcon anything they wanted and the universe would simply accept it....they truly are above everything.

Haha, just yesterday I talked in college with a friend about who could be the next one, and the whole "I'm sure Black Panther's name wouldn't sound too great in the movie title" thing came up. And it's a shame, cause we both agreed it would be the best new character.

Well, yeah. But no one wants him to become a "throw his friends and allies in other dimensional internment camps, create a murderous Thor clone, and launch the Hulk into deep space" sort of douche in the movies.

Yeah forget Civil War, and I'm not interested in a WW Hulk film. Let's get a 1602 movie. And when really good CG becomes cheap enough for a weekly superhero television show, we can get an HBO Earth X series.

Man, I imagine there's a shitload of small nod to comic like these in the film, probably the advantage of wrter director who know comic really well? Or there's a specific guy from marvel who's adding all these little touches.

Like someone earlier mentioned that the town in thor opening where frost giants fight asgardian is the same town from captain america opening where scmidt find the tesseract. That's a really neat touch that modt people will never catch but it's really cool they manage to put it there.

I keep meaning to post this and keep forgetting...

I've been a fan of this X-Men poster by Eric Tan for a while, but apparently you can't buy it.

I decided to try to recreate it in Illustrator, but then I wondered if I could turn it into the Avengers instead, and came up with this:

Yeah, I was actually toying with flipping it to mirror the X-Men one and trying to come up with something for the middle. I actually started an FF one but didn't like how it was turning out and scrapped it.

I did throw this Silver Surfer one together, but it wouldn't work vertically. The background is lifted from something else temporarily for composition puposes until I find time to make one.

So without going back 1200 pages, is the guy at the end of the movie Red Skull or Thanos? I thought it was Red Skull from Captain America, but I could be wrong.
