1) Awesome episode.
2) Hooray for the renewal. If you're complaining about it only being 13, you've lost sight of the fact that a low-rated niche sitcom is getting a FOURTH. SEASON. 80 EPISODES. Seriously? It's a freaking miracle. 3) I'd bet money on Harmon not leaving, especially because all the direct evidence from Harmon and Chase suggests they quibble but aren't at a show-breaking point. |

In that black and white scene with Pierce as a gangster, I think he called the Dean a "McGuillicutty". Now that's not necessarily a reference to this, but let's pretend it is since this is a Dan Harmon character by that name:

Also, close-up dutch angle zoom to Troy's face, followed by a slap by Jeff and a righting of the camera is some of the most hilarious camerawork I've ever seen in anything. That's some Edgar Wright shit right there.

I just love this show. A second fake clip show I thought might be a little off, but I laughed as much as the first one.
As to the renewal news, despite my love of the show, I feel like 4 seasons would really conclude things satisfyingly for me. The crew has been through a ton in three years, and there's only so much longer the momentum can be maintained before people start to tire of it. While I would gladly watch this show for years upon years, 4 seasons seems like that perfect amount of time that's not too long that it grows stale, and not to short that it remains irrelevant, or doesn't end satisfyingly. It's just enough to allow the show to stew in pop culture for many years to come and become a certifiable classic in its own right. I do hope that season 4 gets extended to a full season, but no matter what happens, I know we will at the very least have a proper conclusion given to the show and am grateful to NBC for taking chances and trying to show support for their critical successes, despite their ratings failures. It makes me sad that NBC supports their shows in a way fans expect networks to, and get punished for it. No wonder almost everything on television is terrible, it just makes good business sense. |

Troy and Abed in the Morning: NIGHTS! A late night sexy radio show, during which they woke up "Jeff W", and Annie "long time listener first time caller" called in to tell them to shut up and go to bed.

glad there will be 13 more episodes. not that thrilled about the prospect for 9 more. i mean, i'd welcome more community, but i don't like the idea of a series finale that might be undone to get to the real series finale.
