I dont mean to sound like a douche, but on IPAD or while using the Youtube TM Application from Apple, ads do not exist.

As far as I know, the type of ad is dependent on the video uploader. The can choose between:

- Ad popup during video
- Long ad, but skippable after 5 seconds
- Unskippable ad (15/30 seconds)

The first option will make your viewer base happier, but will generate less revenue.

Yea, I downloaded it once to watch some amazing 30 seconds to mars music videos. Deleted it right after, I didnt want to give a big corporation like VEVO usage and put more money in their pocket

Yeah, it's funny hearing "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" in Japanese to advertise some product. These ads can't possibly target me though because my Japanese is atrocious.

I find that if the video is not in full screen, I get the "you can skip this ad in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" stuff but when in full screen mode, no skip box comes up.

I use adblock on youtube, it's really nice. 5 minute ads sound really obnoxious, do they all seem to be by the same company?
