There's a bit in it consisting of nothing but Elba stood thinking in an elevator as it he goes up, and its astonishingly intense and interesting - its an amazing bit of acting because on the face of it, he's doing nothing... but somehow its just magnetic to watch.

Pretty sure fans of the show will know exactly what I'm talking about, the man has serious screen presence.

Totally, it'd be god tier if the writing wasn't shitty at times, especially for supporting characters. But Elba absolutely kills the lead role.

One of the trailers gives away something major if you notice it.

At the end of one of the trailers, it shows David the android saying great things from small beginnings, and pointing his finger. If you look closely there is a drop of blood on the end of his finger, kind of implies that he changes from an android into a human or something with blood during the film.

Edit: Just found the clip on YouTube, its pretty clear from watching it again, so don't watch if you don't want any thing spoiled, http://youtube.com/watch?v=y-oJ4XHIH9s. The finger with the blood drop on has a weyland android logo on its finger print.

She's beautiful and talented, but I doubt she'll be anywhere near the best part. Aside from the story and creatures, you have Scott returning to form, and Rapace/Fassbender ahead of her, IMO. I expect this to be Rapace's movie.

I also think Theron will have a more minor role compared to others.
