I found the demo on PS3 to be unplayable (not literally, but because I refuse to play games with a framerate that awful). Thankfully the 360 version was solid. I think we've covered this 100 times now though.

Hopefully that's the case, maybe it's related to story and it has to do with the whole choice and cycle theme of the game, not really expecting big changes they claim the world will have with your choices, but there could be minor surprises. The problem with many of the stuff is that journalists don't really hint or talk about this kind of stuff, they're mostly talking about base mechanics that we already know about, and also I don't mind leaving some surprises for me to find out, since they've spoiled quite a lot of stuff already.

I guess I'll have to take their words for it. I just really want to know about balance and difficulty

Bad framerate it's shit, but i can stand it (as long as it is not too bad).

Is it really safe to judge the framerate/tearing based on the demos? I thought it was supposed to not be a final build.

I found it pretty distracting on PS3 but I really prefer the controller for action games. Bayonetta was the one game I just dealt with it because the 360 version was so superior.

Judging it based on the fact that all the PS3 videos from the preview copy are just as bad as the demo (framerate and tearing).

I believe the PS3 version has a lower framerate but 360 has a (hell of a lot) more tearing. Whichever you prefer, really.

I don't think a PC version will come out any time soon, I believe in one of the interviews it was said they have no interest in one - the pawn system was proving to be difficult for the PC etc. and that sort of nonsense.
