Saw Beach House last night on the first stop of their tour in Charlottesville, VA. The new album transitioned superbly live. Here's the setlist if anyone is interested:
Troublemaker Other People Norway Walk in the Park Wild Lazuli The Hours Equal Mind Silver Soul New Year Zebra Wishes Take Care Myth Turtle Island 10 Mile Stereo Irene My only gripe is that they didn't play more from their previous records. Only 1 song from Devotion. I was pulling for Tokyo Witch, hehe. Finally got Devotion on vinyl though, so that's a plus. |

Hm, I haven't done one of these in at least a month:
![]() Miguel - Art Dealer Chic Vols. 1-3 // free downloads + "Arch n' Point" / "Ooh Aah!" Shackleton - Music for the Quiet Hour/Drawbar Organ // "Katyusha" Light Asylum - Light Asylum // "Hour Fortress" Clipd Beaks - Wake // album stream + "All the Way Evil" ![]() Anduin - Stolen Years // album stream + "I Come From Mockingbird States" And Also The Trees - Hunter Not the Hunted // "Burn Down This Town" James Blackshaw - Love is the Plan, The Plan is Death // "We Who Stole the Dream" Origamibiro - Cracked Mirrors and Broken Clocks // "Unravelled in Wreathes" ![]() Unicorn Kid - Tidal Rave // "Chrome Lion" + stream and additional tracks Alan Braxe - White Light 53 mix // stream The Sound of Arrows - Voyage // "Longest Ever Dream" Funkystepz - Royal Rumble EP // "Warrior" <3 I had a four disc set(!) of CW rarities that got lost somewhere along the way a few years back. Should see if that stuff still bouncing around on slsk... Also, the lack of live videos on Youtube is disappointing, but then I remember that the band broke up before small-ish consumer camcorders (let alone smartphones) were really commonplace. |

Anyway I must say I'm experiencing the greatest of phenomenons with Daughn Gibson's All Hell, have you ever listened to an album from start to finish and instantly realized that it was destined to be in your top ten or your five favorite albums of all time list? This hasn't happened to be since I first heard Swans' White Light From The Mouth Of Infinity |

Cool to see all the love for Money Store...haven't decided yet if I like it as much as Exmilitary, but it's really good. Also been listening to this:
![]() Armor On EP by Dawn Richard. I guess she was in some Diddy-run girl group, but she's gone off on her own and doing some really good stuff. Video |

No, this is ridiculous. Honeycomb sounds like being dragged to a noisy carnival hungover and nothing like the two albums you mentioned aside from maybe Avey's vocals. If anything it's Strawberry Jam.

Hmm, was a while so I listened to any Animal Collective album so I guess could be wrong. The rhythm section struck me as being more in line with those two albums then Strawberry Jam and their last album, less beats and more live instruments.

![]() Catcall - The Warmest Place - Typically for me, when the weather starts to get hot, I tend to be in a pop mood and this album totally fits the bill. It's up on Spotify, before that i was just repeating the singles on there waiting for this to show up. Skindred - Roots Rock Riot
![]() Haven't listened to this record for years but for some reason it grabbed me today. Especially addicted to the following song at the moment. Skindred - Ratrace I could party all night long...which I'll probably do anyway. |

![]() The Marvelous Dream A bit impenetrable for me in most parts to be honest. Damon sounds incredible as always, though. Definitely a handful of great tracks on here. As the soundtrack to an opera, I'm assuming it works best paired with the visuals of the show, but an interesting listen nonetheless.

I discovered this band when I watched No Reservations.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hr8lpBZDYEM Very cool stuff. Sounds like something from a Quentin Tarantino movie. I love the cover of their new album:

Heard this one the other day, the kind of dreamy, hazy music that I'm in to at the moment.

Awesome fucking album.
![]() Filter: The Trouble With Angels http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TacMfL8wu1I I just saw them a few weeks ago in Ft Lauderdale. About 100 people were there. It turned into a really intimate show with Richard interacting with the crowd, talking to us and stuff. I managed to converse with him for about 20 minutes after the show. A really cool fucking guy and he's been clean for close to ten years.

It actually didn't grab me much on first listen but now that I have had time to digest it, I really do love it. Unlike anything I've heard before and Gibson's voice is terrific. Amazing atmosphere too.
