I've enjoyed the three seasons, but I suspect I'll get bored with it come season four unless they really wow me with the new people.
I have to say I really admire the writers for getting rid of the "rewind time" power. It was way too much of a crutch - nothing felt dangerous as you knew they could just rewind time and fix it. Same with Nathan's immortality - he was never in danger and thus generated no suspense. |

i'm doing series 4 thread as well lol
about series 3 simon should have just written a letter when alisha will die an on that date and all so we can get more simon/alisha time. and sucks she will not be in S4 :( With that said. not going to speculate too much about series 4 until i get me some cast members list. |

I dunno if I'm gonna watch season 4. The show wouldn't be the same for me anymore. :(
What is it with shows killing off good characters these days, once upon a time and now misfits. And I disagree with the guy above who said Simon was the weakest actor, I thought he was amazing. The girl who plays Kelly isn't that good, imo. Her story isn't that interesting either, and I find power dealer guy to be quite boring as well. This whole series was quit hit and miss, more miss than hit, unlike first two series. |

If they are in their time lane and he in his, she could make something like time machine or something. They didnt really used Kellys power. Just to disable alarm and fix a car... |

Decent finale and season but I have a couple of problems/questions with the season as a whole.
I thought Curtis's time travel power had become Kelly's after the Nazi episode, because ever since that episode, we never saw her act as a rocket scientist. Heck, she has essentially been powerless since then. The other question, what happened to Nazi timeline Kelly, was she essentially a memory dump of the other timeline into current timeline's Kelly |

Season was okay, but compared to S1 and 2 it was weaksauce.
Imo, this would've been the perfect time to let the series die. Simon and Alisha have their stories wrapped up, they could've easily wrapped shit up for Rudy, Curtis and Kelly in an additional Episode. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with TV series in general. Dexter went to shit, Misfits became meh and The Walking Dead continued being mediocre. FFS, why can't anyone make a decent TV drama anymore? Apart from Breaking Bad obviously, that one is still as amazing as ever. Edit: Thread title is hilariously appropriate in hindsight. |

Iwan posted on facebook that he's done, so I guess that's that.
It's probably good for the show to be honest, because he wasn't a 'misfit' anymore, neither was Alisha really, the fact that the characters are a bit fucked up is really what makes the show, I hope they do get to do a season 4 and I hope there's a couple of new fuck ups and a decent new mystery plot line to go with it. |

Agh first Nathan now Simon and Alisha. This show is so cruel but so great. Seeing that storyline come full circle definitely gives me an excuse to do a re-watch.
Simon was always my second favorite with Nathan being the first.

Love made a man who otherwise would have figured out the inevitability of going back do it anyway.
Is it old news that they're making an American version of the show now? I read it in an interview with Iwan Rheon (Simon). Bleh if true, unless it's on a channel where they can do some of the stuff Misfits did.

Finally caught up...Really enjoyed the last two episodes. Im actually glad they are done with the time travel stuff its getting messy and annoying. Not to mention those big plotholes like Simon not predicting that incident or him traveling to the time when Alisha is killed.
Anyways I'm really looking forward to Season 4. Its a chance to really start fresh with the storylines. |

While I enjoyed the season, it was the worst of the three. The Nazi episode being the worst of the season. It was simply ridiculous. Why didn't the old guy just go back in time again once he was captured? Curtis and Alisha most certainly wouldn't have been around in Nazi England. I'm pretty sure everything I stated has been addressed but that episode was just awful.
Oh and while Rudy is a respectable Nathan replacement, I feel that they made him too Nathan like and didn't really expound upon their differences. I do like that he can split in half with his insecure self giving him a degree of depth that the Nathan character didn't possess. Hopefully they will utilize this more in the next season so as to minimize the Nathan similarity. I do like how the wrapped up the Simon and Alisha storyline. The reality is that Alisha will always die. I supposed when the first future Simon went back he prevent Alisha's death by taking the bullet. Did that delay her death only for her to just another way? I look forward to season 4 but hopefully they have an overarching storyline because I found myself losing interest because there were very few moments where I wondering what is going to happen next. |

So as someone that abandoned the third season early on, can someone give me the gist of the last few episodes? I know that the old probation workers from the very first season reappeared and the woman killed Alisha. What, is Simon going back in time to save her, and if so how does this mean that they're both gone? Won't season 4 just take place earlier in time (somehow avoiding Nathan?)
EDIT: Well, apparently both have confirmed they won't be back. My mistake.

I didn't want to come back into this thread till I saw all eight episodes, and man, I loved it - especially the ending as I didn't expect them to be so gutsy, but it makes perfect sense.
Brilliant season, and Rudy was awesome - slight dickishness to other people off the bat, but shows his compassion when that person reaches out to him, but he was always loyal to the gang and is actually nice to them too, unlike Nathan. There was no proper way Simon and Alesha could come back, but it was sad nonetheless reading from both actors that it's official that they aren't coming back. Damn. |

I'm working my way through Season 3 on Hulu. They just upped episode 4 Nazi alternate history. It was such a shitty episode, really disappointed with Season 3 so far, only episode 3 has stood out for me. Compared to the brilliant time traveling episode in season 1, this Hitler bashing had a stupid story and no sense of urgency. The viewer knows there's no possibility that Misfits is going to become a Nazi-central show, so the cop-out ending was guaranteed.
Still hopeful... |

I loved how the season 3 finale tied everything back together though. Nothing was too sloppy in terms of tying it to past episodes. If I'm remembering correctly, even the orange hoodie was from the end of the first season (he was wearing it when he first appeared and saved Nathan, right?). Man, this show is awesome. Its gonna suck waiting til November. |

I've really enjoyed the show. Nice change of pace from the over designed crap we get on American TV. |

Just finished watching the season 3 finale and god damn it. Why is there such a huge turnover in British TV shows? All my favourite characters are now gone and I don't want to get know more cast members, waiting for them to settle into the group dynamic. As great as Rudy is, he was pretty much an outsider for most of the season.
The season was weak, but now I'm torn between watching it through to the end because I like the humour and situations in the show or just getting a clean break here before it really spirals out of control. I can't explain it and not that this is anywhere close to it, but I haven't felt depressed about the end of a show/season since the Wire. Hopefully the US version is actually good. I actually like the US version of Being Human compared to the original. |

OMG, you guys. This is not that new but this was the casting notice used for the 3 new characters of series 4:
Quote:
But the most important thing is that: LAUREN SOCHA WON'T BE RETURNING FOR SERIES 4 EITHER. Although the article says it was a mutual decision made long time ago I call bullshit. I think this is related to the racial assault Lauren made to a taxi driver last year. This blows because I adore Kelly :( Now Curtis is the last original member and while I like Rudy this change is pretty big. I guess Seth is done now as well since there's no reason for him to be around if Kelly's not present. (I guess he can stay as a dealer but that's lame. Seth was pretty boring already.)
