If that's the case, then I guess I'll pick up the Vita version. Other than Peace Walker, is there anything that the Vita version might be missing? I don't mind ports, just not gimped ports :x

I would buy both.
NINJEDIT: Assuming it's nearly Smash-bros quality. If the game sucks...then I won't buy either. |

If the game is good (which it's looking to be from journalist's impressions), and it supports save transferring between the Vita and PS3, I'd double dip on PBR in a heartbeat. The thought of being able to play some matches on the bus ride to work is just too awesome for me.

Enemy AI is glaringly dumb, and there's no real story to speak of. Think of it as a a series of MW Spec Ops missions with the pacing of Rainbow6 Vegas and you're close. The game is worth it right now as the only shooter of its kind on the platform. But don't be surprised if it looks poor by next year's standards. |

My baby died last night....*sob* I was reading GAF and it corrupted and froze. Went to hard reset, it goes to the ps logo and then shutdown. Everytime. Tried the 30 sec hold and nothing.
*sigh* I miss her already. The way I used to rub her back when she needed attention....I'd gently play with her shoulder buttons. She'd get turned on so easy before. Now she's so cold.... *sniff* Don't judge me..... |

Not sure how a 4 player party game is perfect for vita... and I don't think it's announced just yet. Probably some gimped port in 2013 is my guess. |

Why would PBR Vita be gimped?
I can see the visuals being scaled in some capacity for performance, but the game so far doesn't seembto be beyond the Vita's capabilities, especially when games like wipEout 2048 is on the machine, looking and running as well as it is. I don't see how being a 4 player party game would be a problem. If you are away from friends, then you use online, and chat with the mic. If you are with friends that actually have Vitas as well, you each get a screen, and can if there are more than 4 of you, you pass the Vita like you'd hand over the controller/arcade stick, tournament style. You could also use the Vita version as a single player unlock version when you are away from home, and unlock crap on the go, then sync your saves with your PS3 for home play. I think PBR Vita is an excellent idea. I don't get it. People complain that Vita lacks games, then when games are announced, they are either dismissed as somehow not being "portable friendly" or ports. I have no problems with ports, spin-offs, or original IPs, as long as the games are good, and coming to the Vita. There are already a significant amount of titles of each of the above already hitting this year, and E3 promises more. I'm a happy and optimistic Vita owner. |

I sure hope PBR is not the "big unannounced game for Vita" Pachter was talking about.
But it could be fun I guess. |

Are the only 16Gb and 32GB memory cards the only ones worth buying? Don't plan on buying games digitally unless they are small PSN games. So I don't think I'll be needing a ton of space but don't want to end up having to constantly delete things either.
With E3 coming up and Gravity Rush releasing after that I'll be able to decide if I'll pull the trigger on a purchase or not. |

16, and 32 are more important imo when you plan on getting PSP games, PS1 games (at some point), and downloading other digital goods like movies, music, etc. |

I'm slightly hoping for something TES, or Fallout related, but who knows at this point. I refuse to get my hopes up for something big until it's shown at E3 on stage. |

Thanks. The 8gb seems to be more what I'd be needing then. If I wanted to play PS1 games there is always the PS3. There was never any PSP games I was really all that interested in playing either so no concern there.

They could probably try making the Elder Scrolls spin-off again. I imagine for the PSP it died due to technical constraints (and the unavoidable issue of being a first person game with only one analog), but those issues should be gone on the Vita.

I'm going to upgrade to a 16 gig card, because i've been downloading PSP games like mad, and 8 gigs just isn't enough for that. the 32 gig card is still too much for me, but the 16 is like $49 bucks on amazon, i think i saw.

I finally watched that Sony preview episode with Pachter. Doesn't it seem at least possible that the Vita title he saw is either Fallout, Elder Scrolls, GTA, or Call of Duty-related? From memory, those are the only games that I recall him ever really getting excited about. I hope it's Fallout, but we'll see soon!

How is Shinobido? Reviews say it's not all that but from regular people who play it, they say it's kinda good.
I wouldn't mind getting it for cheap because I hear it's like Tenchu and I remember liking that game on PS1. Anything more I should know? |

I asked Dylan Cuthbert about that yesterday, he said it's just being added to the store - so it'll be available with the store update. No new firmware.

Shinobido is pretty fun yeah. I think to enjoy it you have to look beyond the narrative. I think good role play is necessary. those war supply numbers going up or down have to have meaning for you. As an action game it's OK. The story is OK (so far nothing mind blowing) I really enjoy it for the sandbox like aspect of manipulating factions from the shadows. Pretty close to my ideal game in concept.

Unit 13 online pass query;
My friend is selling me a copy of Unit 13 but with the pass used. I doubt i'll ever play co-op tbh, what else will I miss out on if I don't buy one? |

You won't have access to all of the online co-op features, but as long as you're buying it at a discount it's not a big deal. I've only played online a few times, and it's kinda fun but it's poorly designed. I had a hard time setting up matches with people I know, and when playing through matchmaking it sends you back to the main menu at the end of each match. I'd say it's perfectly fine as a single player game, and I don't think the online pass locks out leaderboards, just online co-op.
