This is mainly based on the 7 year(!) differance between 360 and wiiU while the other two boxes only have a extra year of of newer technology to work with. Ps4 could be a unit closer to WiiU, imo. Also, I guesstimate the B.O.M. of the three would be $275, $375 and $425 respectively.

Who gives a shit about what console graphics whores (lol) think? What we should be concerned about are the games, how much Nintendo will be able to differentiate itself from the competition through other means with the new controller and their online piece.

Most of us just wanted a solid system that is powerful enough to get downscaled ports from the next MS and Sony platforms later in its life cycle.

Nothing against having more than one console, but I would prefer to own one console that has Nintendo games as well as the majority of third party games. If the Wii U is missing GTA V and any other significant third party game, then I'm going to have to buy the Xbox 3. I don't want that to happen so I can spend more money on games rather than on another console.

A lot of us completely checked out of the HD generation, 05-11, yet we still saw how the Gears of War, Skyrim and CoD games looked like in TV commercials. Nintendo is about to pull the curtain up on what the next 5 years will bring and we want to be wowed. We want visuals of a calibur we haven't witnessed before. We want to relive the excitement of E3-2001 were we remember watching IGNmatt playing games like Rogue Leader, Wave Race: BS and Luigi's Mansion on the show floor. They were heads and shoulders above the best we got from N64... Conker, Rogue Squadron, Perfect Dark.

I think Nintendo should bring back some 64DD features:

Battle Mode: Play against other gamers and swap scores. Observation Mode: Watch other players' game sessions. Beta Test: Play sample levels from upcoming games. Information Exchange: Use online message boards and e-mail with other users. Community: Swap messages with the game programmers and producers. Internet Surfing: Surf the Internet with the custom web browser. Digital Magazine: Check online sports scores, weather, and news. Music Distribution: Listen to music, some of which was yet to be released in stores. Editing Tool: Create custom avatars to interact with other users.

They should also revive the Mario Artist brand:

That's my plan for next-gen (mostly). See, this gen I have all 3 consoles and PC. And guess what, too many awesome games are coming out all the time, I don't have time or money to play them all. So next gen the plan is to just get one console (Wii-U) - sure, I'll miss out on some awesome shit. But it doesn't matter, I don't have time/money to play it all anyways. This'll make it a lot easier to decide what not to play. And save me a lot of money too. Of course, I already have a PC, and I buy the occasional PC game (Rift, Diablo III), so maybe that counts as two consoles...

Now, there is one game series that could suck me into buying another console - my favorite games are the Ys games, so if a console-exclusive Ys game came out, I'd be forced to buy that console just for that game. In fact I plan on buying a PSVita the moment Ys: Celceta no Jukai hits the US.

If the Wii U is missing GTA V and any other significant third party game, then I'm going to have to buy the Xbox 3. I don't want that to happen so I can spend more money on games rather than on another console.

Well that would be ideal, yes. But considering that most likely the PS4/720 will be a noticeable amount stronger then the Wii_U, I imagine the system will miss out on it's fair share of games. Will it be as bad as Wii? Probably not.

This is the most understandable (if you don't like Nintendo games). You would also be missing out on PS3 exclusives, but other then Uncharted and a small handful of some other games, you wouldn't be missing much.

Well if you only play on the go then not much you can do about that. Honestly I would prefer to go this route but I know I would be missing out on so many great titles, especially retail gaming created in the Western part of the world.
