If by "tiered competition" you mean online matchmaking then it exists to some degree, yes, but we probably won't know how effective it is until the game's out.

Are you sure about the online matchmaking? Everything I've seen or read about this game makes it sound like there's only going to be online player lobbies, which bums me out for reasons I stated in an earlier post.

I totally HATE character customization in fighting games, so I won't buy any DLC for VF. I like characters in their original, historical and iconic outfits and not some clowns moving on the stage. I like alternative colors and outfits if still serious like always had been in fighting games before this nonsense "personalization" thing.

I dunno... if that's the situation then I can kind of understand why it is how it is, but if I buy these customisations, then I wanna others to see them online. Give the option to disable viewing customised characters on your end if you don't like it, but if not, then I want to be able to show it off.

I wish they could do something like Skullgirls' compatability patch when they release their DLC, and have a separate free download with the clothing content for viewing only. It might convince others who see the creations to pay up for the DLC too.

He was asking a lot of about *fighting* styles, martial arts, which is why I recommended someone who's actual fighting style is similar, not one that plays similarly.

Customization is nice, but not really needed unless you want to dress them up to be completely different to the default. If Sega puts the packs on sale for Christmas at around $2 a pop, I'll bite. Otherwise I'm not really crying a river to customize any of the characters. Okay, I would lighten Vanessa's skin up a little, but that's just me.

$30 / 19 packs is a little over $1.50 a pack. So no need for a sale.

That will be in the training mode, in more detail then you get in other fighters.

In addition, searching on YouTube for "VF5FS" or "VF5FS" plus a character's name and using the "uploaded" filter can yield some decent results. Unfortunately a lot of the videos that get uploaded are poorly tagged, so they can be hard to find. Last night I searched for "Lei Fei" and found 10 or so videos uploaded in the last couple of weeks that I wasn't able to find when searching "VF5FS."
