I watched up to the mid-season break I think and never got back on the train.

Only 6 episodes and you're caught up. Most people aren't to thrilled with the season six finale and the Christmas special wasn't that great either but there are a couple of great episodes in the final five episodes of the season. God Complex and the The Girl Who Waited are a couple of my favs.
