Ok, I'm kind of confused. I get home and all of a sudden I find out that Wolfkrone is following me on Twitter. I created a Twitter account just to see what kind of interesting stuff some players had to say and maybe ask a question once in a while. But I don't tweet about myself, period. So I'm dumbfounded as to why Wolfkrone would suddenly decide to follow me(he is my 1st follower) as there is very little evidence out there that my account even exist. I feel the only rational explanation is that it was either accident or he thinks I'm the Canadian Blanka player who actually goes by "Riceta" instead. Oh well lol, I just thought that was interesting enough to post about.

Ignoring individual skill, there's a conflict of interest. The playtesters can balance the game to have their characters have the upper hand for themselves.
I don't know about Capcom games, but I know the playtesters hired by Sega and Namco for VF and Tekken are not allowed to enter into tournaments for the games they playtest to make sure there is complete transparency and they can't take advantage of their positions as developers in the game. I understand that it doesn't mean you'll be better, but it's the principle that you're setting up. EDIT: Don't worry I think Wolfkrone just randomly followed everyone, he even started following me even though I've never tweeted about anything SF4 related.

Because it's Skullgirls and the player is MikeZ. No one thinks he is going to let his personal experience in tourneys distort his suggestions to balance the game.

He won't be competing at official tournaments any time soon for example, but he is totally free to play in the side tournament that fans are organizing for EVO.
Mike is going to be good at it and he will win a lot if given the chance. :P

He entered a tournament a few months ago at Game Carrot Sugamo. Bando aka Jackler, also entered.
Ricky Ortiz (employed by Namco at one time) also entered T6 tournaments. MrNaps and Bronson Tran, while employed by Namco (as QA) also entered T6 tournaments. sdz also entered a few tournaments recently. Just saying. |

Krone started following me on Twitter yesterday too. I think he's following people who are following anyone relevant from the fighting game community, since I don't follow him and haven't posted a tweet in years.

I saw a viewer spike last night during SFxT's broadcast and thought something interesting was going on, maybe someone was using Rolento against a fireball character. Nope, just the SG grandfinals. Highly suggest you guys watch the archives if you missed it, because Severin was godlike, and so was Mike showing how to deal with Double assist.
Also his salt face when he lost. |

lol wow. After watching last night Big 2 I can't see how Ray Ray isn't a better mags than Fanatiq but I don't see how a money match would prove otherwise.

Info on the Sega hosted VF5 tournament at EVO
http://shoryuken.com/2012/05/17/sega...formation-evo/ The thing that really stuck out to me was the pay out. They are distributing the cash very evenly. It's not top heavy like most pay out structures. Good for those who pretty good at the game and have a shot at top 16, not so great for top internationals who will have to pay there own way to get here(if any fits the bill). Personally I'm not a fan of this pay out structure. I would have preferred 1st getting at least double compared to what they're actually getting in this tournament. This also puts more significance on the importance of winning 1st place. This feels like a "everybody gets a award" system. But if that's what they want then more power to them, it's there money. I just prefer high stakes events where not only the title is on the line, but also the majority of the money. |
