So, I'm in Act 1, and my goal was to find the Chamber of Queen Aranea. Oh & while you get there there's a shit ton of spiders. FUCK THEM! I fucking hate spiders :/. Other than that, I'm loving this game :D

So been playing for a few days now, and I am seriously loving it. Have a 26 Wizard and a 24 Witch Doctor. My Wizard has some shitty gear, but I am still impressed by how great the Witch Doctor is. Soul Harvest is absoutely insane. With 5 stacks it doubles my damage. I hope this spell continues to scale as I progress through the game. I've been focusing on my Wizard to begin with, but I am seriously considering changing to the WD. Aside from being a cool character, and absolutely great, among the people I can play with, there are no WDs.

Another thing I've got to mention, is the animations. Dear god there are so many fucking awesome animations. From Wizards with lasers, to Witch Doctors with the coolest grenades since the Holy Grenades in Worms, to the bladestorming mobs with the greatest death animation. This is definitely one of my favorite aspects of the game.

Anyway, gotta log off GAF. It's the 17th of May, Norways national day and I gotta go play some more Diablo III.

Finished the game on normal. This was pretty decent overall playing solo.

Found my first Legendary too in the area before the last boss. Of course a stupid 2h sword like most rares I got during my playthrough. I guess that means I really need to start the Barbarian already.....

Just reading Battle.net Technical forums makes me nauseous. There are problems with shutdowns, restarts, BSOD, overheating, fans and so on on laptops. I am playing on laptop without any problem or overheating. Am dizzy thinking that I've missed the bullet by complete system preparation and rejuvenation for Diablo III. Ugh. I will hug my laptop.

If you go to any tech forum after a game launches they will always claim that the game screwed their computer somehow. Most of the time it is just mismanaged maintenance on the owner's part.

Yeah, I think it is mostly problem of the one beiing affected, too.
The preparation I did was upgrading erry driver, defrag and clean disk, clean registry, system files, check ram errors, etc, etc,... and that is what people think will happen on it's own.

You can play with skill and change them anytime you want. But on inferno, sticking with one build is better because of magic find factor that is rising - change it and its back to zero.

You'll loose you hardcore character. He is sixfeet deep.
But you can die infinetely on every difficulty.
Thing that matter is hardcore - die and permadead.

Works the same way as regular skills do.

I have a radeon 5870 and so far my game looks like this: I've tried screwing around with the Catalyst control, the in game graphics, Un-installing and re installing the game, I've already updated my drivers to its current (had the same problem before update, have the same problem after update) I tried playing through it and It completely crashed my PC after walking into the first Pub. Any help?

I had this problem as well with ATI on a couple of games last year. I had to do two things to fix it.

1) Go to 3D Application settings and set Mipmap detail to 'Quality'. It was set at 'Performance' by default for me.

2) Disable Catalyst A.I. See instructions ripped from GOG forums below.

1. In CCC set up your AA & AF settings, make sure that Catalyst AI is set to "High Quality", and make sure that the "Enable Surface Format Optimization" check box is unchecked before continuing. 2. Search for a file named 'Profiles.xml'. Mine was located here: C:\Users\YOURNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles.xml 3. Right click on the file once the search is done and select "Edit". 4. Find 'CatalystAI' and change Enable to Disable 5. Now run the MOM.exe file. Mine was located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\MOM.exe 6. Restart your PC and you should be set.

Some people also reckon that the Smoothvision setting makes a difference (I didn't have this selected on my CCC):

Under 'Gaming' section - 3D application settings has a SMOOTHVISION HD:Anti-Aliasing then below Use application settings check box and to the right a Morphological filtering then below level of AA etc. anyway the key is (was for me) UNCHECK Morphological filtering it then seems to be fine - everything else could be left the same.

Hello, I'm sorry we've had no updates on this ongoing issue just yet. We are still working to resolve it, and we're hopeful that no achievements already gained will be 'lost', but I don't have any further info on this just yet. I'm very sorry about all this and I assure you we have people looking into this right now.

Finally beat normal after about 20 hours or so. Loved every minute of it, though I thought the story was kind of meh. My favorite parts story wise in the game was actually when it did the ghost flashbacks to retell the D1 story or the little lore bits with Leoric. Gameplay though, my god.... So addicting and fun. Time to start nightmare later today.

It's fine if you're good at the kiting and strafing.

Most of all, you need to be good at the indirect.

No content patches, maybe item patches. Expansion(s) are pretty much confirmed, but unannounced currently.

No WoW-like updates because this isn't an MMO. However, i'd guess expansions would happen, and the promised updates for PvP and RMAH.

How the hell do you have so much Int?

got 438 base intel + soul harvest that give me 5x70 = 350 and the passive that gives me extra int 10% for each heath globes i grab (50% max) makes me touch 1100 fairly easy in any fights.

And higher level you are higher the amount of int soul harvest gives you.

And putting grasp of dead w/ rune "death is life" gives makes more heath globes. As well as the rune for the summon dogs

I adore this game and want to play more of it. Been running around with friends so far and have about 13 hours logged and only a little bit into act 2. Mind you I have gone back to help friends a few times and spend a bit of time doing the crafting.
