Signed up on their site yesterday and got my key this morning. Download is going slow and it won't connect to P2P. Just pulling it down via HTTP. |

I gave it a first go with some random people. It's a lot more crazy than Torchlight 1. I went with the Berserk and had fun.
I noticed I was levelling like crazy. I had to spend points, pick up loot, decide, even more than killing things! All in all, it was very fun and, except for a moment when there were a lot of enemies and things going on, it was fairly smooth and didn't notice any problem (I was playing with someone from US, I think, and I live in Europe). It's looking really good. TL1 in comparision looks a bit empty now. |

I just played for an hour and a half. Feels good. I'll definitely be picking the game up at some point.
One question, has anyone else noticed some jittering, even when the framerate is constantly 60 fps? I'm noticing this in more and more in games lately and the fix that seems to work the majority of time is fullscreen windowed mode, which is a rare feature without the need of some 3rd party utility. Edit: Windowed mode does smooth out the jitters. Hopefully there is a fullscreen windowed mode when the game launches or there's a mod at some point.

Regardless, I liked it a lot. I'd say that I'm definitely going to pick it up when it comes out, but I already pre-ordered it on Steam. |

Well since diablo 3 release the game has been totally dead. Not really surprised by the sudden release of tons of keys ...
Anyway I got an extra key: edit: apparently taken by someone.... Please say if you used it. For anyone looking for a faster client download:

Will any progress be saved for the full game or reset? Played a little bit, feels solid! I know this is a dirty, dirty question but you think they would implement a controller set-up for this. Somewhere down the line. I think it would work well. Basic twin stick shooter controls like Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

Played a couple hours of this just now, my first impressions are actually better than Diablo 3, I think the improvement from the first Torchlight is a big part of why
Hit level 12 on Elite mode, and found my first Unique drop Everything runs super smoothly, and looks very nice (models are better than D3 IMO) I'm not a big fan of limiting skills to just a selection of two, is there some sort of hotkey config so I can rotate between them easier? The progression is also a billion times better than Torchlight 1, I was never a fan of the dungeon in the original |

Ok, I played it yesterday for about two hours. Here's my quick impressions with it:
- It excels everything done in the previous game. And I mean this. The ambience. The gameplay. UI. The quests. Pet System. Items. Classes. Everything is just better done. - Side Quest are really good now. You may be doing a main quest and encounter people with problems that need to be dealt with. Once, I had 5 quest at a time, and belive me, that's a good thing. I must check wheter if they are randomly generated or simply they put them "there" all the time. Also, choosing the reward from 3 different ones, is great. - Classes are good. They are very different and offers distinct gameplay from each one. The skills are... ok. They feel bland, not as the first game bland, but I still feel that they lack something. An extra punch factor. - The graphic an aestetic style are great. Movements are very fluid. Sometimes it feels like there's a drop in the fps, but that's expected from Beta release. I like how they introduce you to each zone you enter EVERYTIME, and the fact that tells you when you're leaving it. I encounter two boss fights, and the "introduction" for the fight was amazing and rewarding. - The option to play LAN is great. SO great that it should be remarked. - If I had to say something bad about this Beta is that it feels WAY unbalanced. I mean, I'm level 9... and already doing 150 Avg on my hits. Almost everything is a one click kill. I'm not too fond of this. But I really hoped they could check on this. Glad to pre-order it. Glad to be playing it in July. |

Strength affects all physical weapon damage, so yes. It may also affect magical weapon damage, but I don't think so. They want every stat to be at least somewhat useful for every class. There's not meant to be a no-brainer stat, like endlessly pumping Dex on an Outlander.
