Also looks like CroTeam also announced Serious Sam 3: BFE for Fall release, few places are listing it as XBLA but they may of course mean Games on Demand.
Shall see. |

Sega has set final release date of May 23 for the first round of Sega Ages Online releases, and also announced the next round of titles. As previously reported, Sega will launch the downloadable retro collection on PS3 and Xbox 360 through six games: Alex Kidd Miracle World, The Super Shinobi, Super Hang-On, Wonder Boy Monster Land, Wonder Boy V Monster World III and Monster World IV. These will be individual releases on PS3, priced ¥600 each. On Xbox 360, they will be split into two 800 Microsoft Point consisting of Alex Kidd, Shinobi and Hang-On in one set and the Wonder Boy games in the other set. The second round of titles will hit on May 30. Golden Axe Collection and Streets of Rage Collection will be released exclusively for Xbox 360, priced 800 MSP each set. Golden Axe Collection includes the 1989 arcade Golden Axe game and the Genesis/Mega Drive Golden Axe II and Golden Axe III. Streets of Rage Collection includes Streets of Rage I, II and III. |

Akai Katana, Dragon's Dogma, and the first two Sega Ages sets at the same time.
I'm down. Will maybe get the SoR collection if I can get BK3 through region fuckery or something. |

JAM: LMA is... actually pretty good. The Jam mode is brilliant, can sit there for ages just playing with bits of songs and seeing how they sound with different tracks turned on and off, you can do it all at your own pace and if you time it all right you can make some tremendous sounding stuff. You can record your own mixes, and play them in Arcade mode.
Arcade mode is hard as nails. There are fewer than 50 people on the leaderboard. This isn't exactly representative of how many it's sold though, because the leaderboard only counts arcade scores and you don't unlock that until you complete a whole bunch of challenges. It doesn't look like it's selling much though. Should have released it outside the US. |

Was a reason given as to why it was US only?
Way too many of these XBLA games being region specific :( |

Alright, I have no idea if there's a thread that pertains to this, but I can't decide what XBLA game to pick. It's between:
-Fez -Trials: Evo -Bastion -Torchlight -Super Meat Boy -Minecraft -Iron Brigade Yeah, I'm pretty sure that those are all the ones I've missed. I also plan on picking up Walking Dead Ep. 1 if the game I pick up isn't more than 1200 MSP. |

Yeah, I liked it for what it was. I have no kinect, so I just used the controller. It's a classic with beautifully restored animation, but I can't compare it to any other ports or even the arcade classic (I DO have it on Wii, but haven't played it.)
The traditional arcade border is nice, and I find it a bit easier to use than the default control method, since the indicators don't stick out as much as they could.

Shit, I played the trials for all the games and love them. Looking back in the XBLA library, checking to see the games I missed, I just realized how crazy huge that it is. XBLA seriously has to be the best part of this generation.

All of those games are great so try to buy them all at some point, but pick up IB and the DLC while they are on sale. |

Since there was talk about the Forza 4 Porsche pack.
The MN blog now lists it at 1600msp. The Forza 4 VIP Membership was just added (it was previously included with the C.E.) for 1200msp. If you buy that or you have it from the C.E. you get a 400msp discount on the Porsche pack but you have to do it in-game. If you just buy it from the marketplace it will be full price. |

damn, the south park update makes the game playable and even fun!
hated the demo but with the patch, its feels and controls much better. its also faster and less clunky. might buy it after a price drop. |

Essentially, it lets you change characters on the fly in single player. It was utterly insane that they didn't have that in from the start, I just can't work out what they must have been thinking.

i think the focus was on the 4p coop. but its mostly the increased run/jumping speed that makes it more fun.

Yeah, I get that, but if you're including single-player as an option it just didn't make any sense at all that half the level was blocked off no matter who you chose to play as.

Off the top of my head:
Aegis Wing (Yes, even though it's free.) Apples to Apples Inferno Pool JAM Live Music Arcade Merv Griffin's Crosswords MLB Bobbleheads Battle MLB Bobbleheads Pro's MLB Stickball NCAA Basketball 09 MME NFL Blitz NFL Live Draft Tracker NFL (Uh...the other one that came out at the same time.) SpongeBob Squarepants Tecmo Bowl Throwback Tetris Splash Wits & Wagers World Gone Sour I'd agree that's way too many. Pretty much all the games you listed are the best in their genre on XBLA, except for this one, imo. I've been playing all of the "tower defense with third person action bits" games on XBLA lately and I think Orcs Must Die and Toy Soldiers are a lot more fun than Iron Brigade. Maybe that's just me though, I hate it when I'm controlling a concrete slab like you do in IB. I like the fast and nimble guy in Orcs. Edit: Hey, wait! The sale is still on, you can get both Orcs and IB for the price they normally cost alone. They're both 50% off until tuesday.

We have a Wonderboy OT, but perhaps we should have a big Sega Vintage Collection one with the Wonderboy, Alex Kidd, Streets of Rage and Golden Axe collections about to hit?

The upcoming Sega Vintage Collections are done by M2, right? I wonder how much work they did put in. I guess I can't expect a Sonic CD quality port? I want Monster World IV so bad, but if it's the same as the backbone ones, then meh.

Fun platforming, good music, and the concept is a throwback to absurd titles in the genre. |

Hmm....so I was thinking of picking up Orcs Must die and IB, but then I noticed that Trials HD is on sale as well. I just didn't mention it because I figured I'd just pick op Evolution instead; would anyone suggest picking it up over Orcs or IB?
