If you're only talking about language-specific issues, I believe that browser language is stored in a different cookie/account setting and not considered part of personalized results. If you believe your results are being personalized in some other way based on your web history, then I'm not sure why that is occurring.

Going to the trouble of running two instances of a browser would be even more annoying; I'm not sure how to get that to work in OS X anyway. I'd like Google to stop trying to second-guess me, that's it. If I have a history of searching in 3 different languages, they should just return results that correspond to the language I searched in. |

I had heard of the practice but this is the first time I hear the term bubbling. Very interesting, and rather worrying. I can't say I've noticed it myself though, possibly because I use Google's English website and never search in my native language.
Google has a verbatim search feature which they claim disables personalized results, but it has the drawback (or benefit, depending on what you're trying to do) of searching exactly for what you wrote, it won't also give you results for similar words. |

Browsed a lot more with Duckduckgo the last couple of days and have to say it often gave me the appropriate search results. Though for images it's definitely lacking and in that case I'm still back at using Google. |

Thanks a lot!
Though it makes me wonder: how come Google remembers using this national search focus after I deleted all cookies and stuff? Or that it shouldn't load that one anymore since I clicked the button at the low right? Isn't the whole point of deleting all this digital info that Google Chrome doesn't remember what I did and for Google as a search engine to not have any additional data to load when I use it? |
