Just watched the first episode. Really fun. I don't think I get the Disney XD channel though so I'll probably have to go through itunes or something.
The writing was pretty poor and the voice acting wasn't super great but man what a looker. It was also framed pretty well and the fight scenes were very entertaining. edit-Thanks for the youtube link btw. |

Super excited for this especially since I just bought the collectors edition PS3 Tron game and rewatched Legacy for the 16th time or so. Needless to say the five minutes I watched of this has me excited to finish it on my big ass HD tv later this week. Really curious to see if the ISO's will play a decent part in this series as I loved Qorra and think Olivia Wilde deserves more credit for how well she played the role. Count me in the Legacy was awesome camp!

Hopefully they recognize that Tron has some appeal, and Legacy would've been far more successful if it was just a better movie. I mean it wasn't bad, I enjoyed it enough to see it a few times, but better story, characters, and action on top of the fantastic visuals and Daft Punk soundtrack would've been one of my favorite movies ever. |

..and you are now one of my favourite posters.
I'm from Canada, so I'm still trying to find an ideal way to watch this online while actually supporting the show (since I'm fairly certain they're testing the waters for another sequel). |

Finally found the time to watch the first episode. Fantastic stuff. The designs by Robert Valley rock. Each character looks really distinct, and they have great iconic features. What really surprised me was how lavish the art direction and general direction of the show is. Really detailed backgrounds, dynamic camera work, and really good storyboarding for the action sequences in particular. The animation is fluid, and really brings the elements together well. The first episode is paced really well with lots of action and it really shows off what they're trying to do with the show. I'm kinda surprised Disney is really investing in a show like this, but it's a good thing that they are. :)

Just saw the first episode and it was excellent. Far better than what I was expecting.
The writing was very good except for one very poor melodramatic moment when Beck said he didn't know why he did it when 7 minutes ago he told when he realized Brody wasn't coming back he had to act. Someone said he was just getting cold feet over Tron the Program the Myth the Legend was bestowing an honor on him he felt he didn't deserve. While that is a reasonable justification, backpedaling in that manner broke my suspension of disbelief. He could've made any other excuse except for the one that contradicts the most emotionally hurtful memory he has. The animation was sick. The comparisons to Aeon Flux are understandable; but unfair, because Aeon was pretty ugly. I liked the music from Tron Legacy a lot and to see one of the instrumental composers working on this shows music just increases the coolness factor. Honestly if the next few episodes come close the quality of this opener I'll be confused over why the target audience is 6-13 year olds. They would be putting too much effort into the writing and direction and I doubt so many well known actors or the animation technique they are using are cheap. |

I think there were some lip-synching issues, and like wildfire I was irked when Beck suddenly lost all drive in his quest when he found out that Tron was alive.
Still, the series definitely has great potential, and I would love to see what they can do with a world that's essentially a program. |

Just watched this
HOLY SHIT! No seriously, I was amazed about how good this really is. Dialog and VA itself is solid and writing itself is, well, not stupid and actually clever yet minimal. Then there's animation/art direction.... it's just so damn well done and cohesive. They really nailed the action staging and style to mimic Joseph Kosinski's work. This looks glorious on iTunes HD and kudos to them for making it free to download. Also, the music really shows just how important Daft Punk's touch was to this franchise. It really does make the both the film and now the show 10/10 Can't wait to the see the next one and my 8 year old thought it was awesome too. Took him to see Legacy with me in the theater when it came out. |

This is going to be a full series and not a mini series? That was awesome, I missed the first 10 minutes though. Though I don't know how many episodes of that quality they can pump out. The only thing that looked weird was the characters. The backgrounds and action scenes though made up for it in spades. Hope this stays on awhile.

According to Variety 6-13 is the target group. Rereading it I see they also quote the producers as hoping the franchise gains enough ratings to encourage a sequel to Legacy, so you can't have that without gaining the appeal of older audiences. They are now going to do 18 according to the same Variety source. |

I caught it on accident and I really enjoyed it. One of those shows you can kick back and watch while enjoying the amazing visuals. I was almost mad when I heard that clu almost killed tron from some other animated show. |

Yup, the first episode "The Renegade, Part 1" airs tomorrow night, followed by "The Renegade, Part 2" the following week. Four weeks in a row of Tron Uprising goodness!
(Although, checking BOTH Disney Channel and Disney XD, neither of them have the show listed as being shown tomorrow...)

Strange that the online ones don't list it.
The official FB page has been updated quite a bit over the past few days with a bunch of concept art. http://www.facebook.com/TRONUPRISINGOFFICIAL |

Bump for the episode tonight.
I don't think that link above is the official Tron Legacy FB page, but the good news about it being unofficial is that the person running it says they'll be uploading the second episode tomorrow, so we'll be getting two episodes within one day =D |

So far so good. This show is building up with some likeable protagonists. The villains could use some more work though. |
