Reminds me of the South Park episode where they make fun of Rob Schneider.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqLUb...eature=related Seems Adam Snadler is scraping the bottom of the barrel, but if people are still stupid enough to watch then more power to him. |

Perusing his IMDB led me to a couple of surprising things:
-He's in an upcoming Genndy Tartakovsky film, which actually piques my interest -Most of his terrible films in the past 5 years have been directed by Dennis Dugan: Grown Ups 2 (pre-production), Jack and Jill, Just Go With It, Grown Ups, Zohan and Chuck and Larry. |

Jack and Jill is not as bad as they say. It's a terrible movie, but it's about twice or 3 times as good as The Love Guru (to put things into perspective).

He makes it hard for me to make an argument to young people that he was ever funny. But he really was once upon a time.
He's a case where people loved him so much at one point, to the point of feeling like they knew him, that he was given a free pass to make pure shit about 10-12 years. You want him to succeed, to give him another chance, beg him to be funny -- and he just continues to betray your trust like a disappointing son.

One of my favorite "reviews" of Jack and Jill is a sketch on The Midnight Show album. A dude who does the best Sandler impression reads the script. The other actors ask if they need to be there.

Funny People was probably my most favorite Adam Sandler film in the last couple of years, but that can mainly be contributed to Judd Apatow. It's not too much of a comedy but far more of a Drama and I feel like Adam Sandler has been handling drama's better in the recent years.

Plinkett does a voice that's annoying if you're not into it (and he actually makes fun of himself too, and complains that people keep asking him for the same thing over and over, instead of demanding something new), and he's boring because he's trying to slowly and fully explain things to some people who haven't yet realized them. |

I didn't mind Reign over me and Funny People. He just seems to be playing the same character over and over again. Do something different dude.
He can play the really depressed character easily. |

I just did. I've never seen anything from the Half in the Bag guys prior, they're fantastic. I just need to watch the movie for myself to confirm everything. I had similar thoughts when I watched that movie where he had to offend gays with the Zookeeper.

Adam Sandler is a genius, he gets insane money to act like an idiot and be loved no matter what he does. He pays his friends huge bank to come chill with him while they do dumb stuff and presumably he is having fun doing it. It's pretty much done with the knowledge he knows exactly what he's doing, look at something like Funny People and then the ending of Jack and Jill, where the emotional "story climax" is literally delivered in an incomprehensible made-up language, specifically to say "it doesn't matter anyway."
