I have an uneasy feeling coursing through me just watching that/those. I can't do heights, especially when they aren't enclosed. The escalators at the World's Fair Atom in Brussels had me getting light headed, and that's a solid enclosure visited by thousands of people of year.
Fuck doing pull ups, I couldn't even get on to the ladder they used to get up in the first place without my legs turning to jelly. |

I looked into it when that video was going around last year. Seems $50k is the high, if you can get with a good company. And you only climb once per day.
There was supposed to be a special on PBS last night about cell tower workers falling. Apparently it happens quite a bit. Unfortunately I didn't get to see it yet. |

Why is it always the Russians who do shit like this? It's like being hard/crazy is in their cultural DNA. I don't find it to be stupid just interesting. Wish there was some sort of poll or study done on Russians to see their outlook on life compared to the west.

I read a very elaborate and insightful explanation on this a few days ago, I forgot where it was unfortunately. The gist is that many young people in Russia feel like they have no future and a depressed outlook on life due to the living conditions, so to put it simple, they don't really care that much whether they die or not.
