So who is ready to play the first three Ratchet games with trophy support? And personally even more excited for Up Your Arsenal online being brought back. They really didn't have to do that (Konami sure didn't with MGS3 HD dammit), but they did, and it will be incredible.
I know I am, but I have a problem. I'm in the US. US gets it in October. While EU is just around the corner in early June. Anyone know any good sites that ship games from UK to the US? |

Platinum #88 - Resistance 3
Finally wrapped up my Superhuman run, as well as the last few weapon trophies. Superhuman wasn't as bad as I was expecting. A couple of dumb parts but I managed to get through them after just a couple of tries. Glad they brought back the weapon wheel and secondary fires but I still prefer the first game. Probably won't be able to play much for the next couple of weeks though, so that might be it for a while. |

On the bright side, after I upgrade the Uranite weapons I'm mostly done with treasure hunter outside of two mission accessories and getting the last few stones for the upgrades of the accessories and weapons that need it. But getting the cash off sacrifices is boring the hell out of me so I'm grinding deck card unlocks in Duels of the Planeswalkers right now. |

100% on Awesomenauts.
Now to see if the DLC is going to add Trophies as I would like to keep my 100% on this game. I really dislike my 6 non-100% Platinum'ed games, and my one PSN game where I had 100% (the original Duels of the Planeswalker). That one I could 100% but the DLC is quite expensive. |

Well just finished dragon rising. have every trophy apart from actually finishing the game. Well fuck you codemasters. Can't even code a simple trophy pop. Had to do level 3 twice too just so that one would pop. An easy platinum
Overall though if it wasn't glitched to hell. |

I can almost smell the Max Payne 3 1000/1000. I'm doing most of NYM without even dying. There's still a big leap between doing decently in regular NYM and beating the game without dying in one sitting (hardcore NYM) but I feel good about it.
If I can do NYM hardcore then the only other big hurdle is getting to level 50 in online. I wont go out of my way for that one, whether the 1000 is achievable or not. I'll let that happen naturally while everything in the season pass comes out over the next few months. |

Cocksuckin motherfucker.. been on hiatus for the last month as I move back to the states. First time sitting down with my PS3 and I boot up the free Trine 2 that was waiting for me from Plus. 15 mins in I try to skill up and instantly, without having to research anything on the net, I realize this game is a victim of the infamous (well at least to us Japanese gamers) O/X bug. When I do go on the net to research I see the developers posting they know about the issue (this is back in Dec) but that because legal this money that current gen dlc/patch nonsense bullshit it can't be fixed. They were nice enough to offer refunds back then..but I got this game for free haha. I could care less about the trophs or whatever but it sucks that the first game I choose to get back into while bein a bit of a whore is a game I can't even complete. Sigh.
Apparently they plan to release dlc for the game sometime in the future and that will push a fix to the main game as well. Ah well. I wish in 2012 I didn't have to deal with shit like this or do a complete background check on a game before I start it but I suppose my case is a bit of a special one. Anyway..good to be back. Now to figure out what to check out next. Rock of Ages..? edit: well fuck me..apparently the developer actually released a full skill save for those of us affected back then. Just needed to read a bit more on their official forums. Feels super weird dling a save..kind of like cheating..but with the developer's blessing hey why not. edit 2: and nevermind..trophies disabled. sigh. Looks like I have two options. Get a US PS3 (yeah no) or I send my Trine 2 save to someone with the game and a US PS3, they load it and allocate my points to level up, save, and resend the file to me. Uh..yeah...

Apparently, you don't need 100% of all dog tags but "only" to unlock every item. This means 50% of all dog tags on the tanker 100% everything up to Normal should be enough) and 90% on the plant chapter (you'll have to go through Extreme). I went for 100% so I can't confirm it any way. I even read somewhere that you only need the plant items.
So if you're in this only for the trophy/achievement, I'd suggest you start with the plant chapter, 100% it on all 5 difficulty levels and see if that works. What I did was move my way up the difficulty levels, using unlocks. On the plant chapter, after 100%ing Easy and Very Easy, I gained the infinity wig, which made Normal easier. And after clearing Normal, I got the stealth camo, which made Hard and Extreme a lot easier. A few pointers, from my experience. YMMV obviously: A useful, general tip, if you're not going for a nice title: once a dogtag has been collected, you'll keep it, even if you die. Which means you can hold up a guy, get his tag, die and respawn, you won't have to collect it again. That can be useful in a few places (in the Hold for example). I also found that changing the shortcuts in the option helped a lot on the harder difficulties. The default setting is equip/unequip item when you press a trigger. Making it "previously equipped items" allows to change between items/weapons very quickly. It can be invaluable for boss strategies that require to alternate between items/weapons. Tanker chapter: There are a number of tags which you can collect only once, I got stuck a couple of times and had to restart because of this. Namely, the first and last guys in the Engine Room spawn only once. If you exit or die, they won't be there. I suggest saving right before. There's also a guy in Deck D Crew's Quarters who will spawn when you enter the NE room. He seems to be missable too. The guys in the Hold can be hard too. For the Hold, I suggest moving along the railing in the first and second rooms ASAP. That way the game will register your entering the third room with a lot of time and if you're detected, you'll respawn there, with your time intact. You don't need to level up your grip to 3 in order to reach these by the way. You only need to make sure your health is full before travelling alongside the railing. On the harder levels, you'll need to sedate lots of Marines to hold up guys in the middle of the ranks. This is easy once you realize you can sedate them as much as you want without raising any kind of alarm. It should also be noted that if you sedate a Marine after holding him up, he'll fall on the ground. If you don't sedate him, he'll just stand sleeping. Plant chapter: The dog tags themselves aren't terribly hard, just time consuming. What can be really hard are the bosses, particularly on Extreme. These are a few Extreme tips, from my playthrough today: Rations: Guards on some of the connecting bridges can drop Rations if you shake them up. This can be useful. I used these rations in the Harrier fight. The next couple of rations I got was from Snake during the Tengu Battle. He can give you up to 2. There will also be a ration at the center of the platform before the Ray battle. Fortune: use a box, that will make you faster and harder to hit. You then only need to move left and right, changing directions right after she's fired. Pretty easy. Fatman: after I freezed his first 2 bombs, I kept running after him and gunning him at the same time. It took me a few tries but I eventually managed to take him down without having him activate a single bomb. You just need to be accustomed to running and gunning at the same time. Every few hits, he'll fall on his knees, that when you can headshot him. Rinse and Repeat. Harrier: you can hit him up to 4 times at the start of the fight. You'll have to learn his patterns though. When he launches his bombardment, hide at the bottom to avoid being hit. The missile volley is a one hit kill on Extreme but there's blind spot in the middle of the stairs. I used a box to position myself more easily. After he's done with the missile volley, he'll hover there for several seconds and you can hit him a few times. The machine gun can be devastating too but you can hide on the bottom level, with a box equipped and just circle the central crate, making sure you're at his opposite at all times. As for the homing missile attack, whenever you hear its characteristic beeping sound, run to the opposite part to hide behind something. Vamp: this fight can be cheesed in a number of ways. What I did was go in the NE corner of the room, lie on the ground as far as possible, and spam Nikita at him. He didn't touch me a single time. He essentially goes into a pattern where he dives for a few seconds, comes back up, throws stuff at you that won't hit you and then walks in your direction. I launched Nikitas right then, when he was walking. He then went back into the water. The sniping part: I'm mentioning this because on Extreme there's an additional mine towards the end that can be seen and hit from only one position. As soon as the sniping part starts, move to Raiden's left (top right of the screen) and aim in the direction of the last part of EE's walk, you should barely see the mine next to one of the last pillars. That's the one I'm talking about. The Tengu battle: for the first part, I just tranqued my ally and killed the Tengus with PSG1/Stinger. At the end of this part, I hid behind a crate on the left, tranqued him again, and let the sword Tengus come at me. I froze them with coolant and then instantly tranqued them with an M9 shot to the crotch. Every now and then, I shot my ally again, to make sure he didn't wake up. Once the Sword Tengus were all taken out, we moved on the few machine gun guys. For the second part, I used the HF blade and the body armor. I ran around holding the guard button and taking out as many Tengus as possible, going for the gunners first. That takes some pressure off your ally while he mows them down. Whenever my health bar got yellow, I moved to the southern room and crouched to regain health. I didn't use a single ration but earned 2. Rays: if your rations are full before the battle, you can use one to heal and pick up the one in the middle. I had the infinity wig equipped at all times and when I wasn't using my Stinger, I was spamming chaff grenades (they make the fight easier). At the start of the battle, before any Ray lands on the platform, I managed to hit the center Ray 3 times and each of the other Rays twice. What I did was essentially find the perfect distance at which the Ray on the platform will always use the laser cutter. It's an attack that can be easily dodged and when you do, that's when you can do the knee/mouth combo with 2 Stingers. Once you've hit, try sending a Stinger to one of the Rays on the side, before moving again. It's not hard once you get it, it's just long (there are 20 or 25 Rays to beat on Extreme). Somewhere, a Ray is telling a story about how it took a Stinger to the knee. :) You might want to keep one ration for the Solidus fight, mostly because of the button pressing mini-game before. Solidus: I used the armor and blocked a lot. Most of his attacks can be blocked, aside from the slow, strong double blade attack and the missiles. Most of the time, if you attack him, he'll block. You should then block too, he'll try to kick you to no avail. You can them hit him 3 times. Rinse, repeat. If you catch fire, quickly equip/unequip the BDU. It will make the fire go away. When he throws his missiles, run/cartwheel toward him. You'll avoid a devastating attack and have an opportunity to strike. Sorry for the long ass post but that's a lot of the experience I've gleaned in the past week. :) |

I got a gamestop gift card so I went and bought a year of Playstation Plus, with the full intention that it would be the best value for getting trophies.
To my suprise, in addition to this months games I can also get a few games from the Sega classics collection and others like Mahjong tales (which I already had, but I got the DLC free). Altered Beast was a pretty quick trophy grab, in an hour I got all of the trophies. I cannot fathom playing that and liking it in it's day, though. It seems deliberately designed to eat up quarters. |

Get ready to turn that smile upside down, you just reached the most tedious and boring part of the platinum. It's basically just the same set of missions repeated 7 or 8 times. If transfarring doesn't unlock trophies and they make me do that part again in the Vita Collection, I'll tear my hair out. |

About the same from what I gather except they removed the "defeat X pirate" trophies and fixed the reversedamage/heal for the tera damage so you cant overheal for that one anymore

![]() I've never participated in this thread before, but I'm sorta in a trophy mood so I figured I would join in on the fun. Right now I am primarily going for the Challenge Master trophy in Binary Domain. My goal is to get the Platinum by July. I nearly have the online challenges complete but I need to redo one Invasion map, unfortunately. Aside from that I've been thunder gunning all those awesome M2 PSN ports of the Monster World games and Shinobi/Super Hang On, etc. Good times! |
