Would buy if it came with Emma Watson as a pre-order bonus.

Also, why they Hell haven't a game like this been made for the Wiimote and/or the PS Move since those are basically wands anyway?

answer: hats made of money

this and Star Wars were probably the first IPs they grabbed when Kinect was being planned.

Unfortunately, this is 100% correct.

Personally, I can't wait for the sequence where you have to use the Kinect to carve "I will not tell lies" into the back of your hand.

Okay, all the Harry Potter references we're throwing around are making me kind of excited for this game. I should stop now.

Or maybe multiple scenes where you get to play as Nagini killing people or even eating Charity Burbage

Smart move. Seems perfect for Kinect (even more so for move and wiimote)
I hope it's not JUST a cash-in.

I'm looking forward to the "Make Ginny kneel down and tie Harry's shoe to imply a blowjob" Kinect minigame.

Fucking David Yates.

Oh God, why did you have to remind me. Was there a single Harry/Ginny scene in that movie that wasn't awkward?

No. Not to mention Deathly Hallows where before potentially seeing his love interest for the last time, Harry just said "Be safe" and ran off.

This is as good a place to express my discontent with the final 4 movies as anywhere.

No he didn't. They were right in the middle of pure chaos and he was operating on borrowed time. What were they supposed to do on a staircase full of people running around and shit exploding? It would have been fucking retarded otherwise.

I agree that those two could have better scenes though. didn't have a problem with that one however.

I would blame most of that on the actors. Radcliffe and Wright are so stiff. Wright especially so, compared to the much more fiery Ginny from the books.

Ron and Hermione's relationship was far better portrayed.

The script is also, on the whole, pretty bad.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 supports the Playstation Move (and not the Kinect, strangely enough). So if you guys really want a Move game with Harry Potter, look no further.

Now I'm sure you're about to say "But Deathly Hallows Part 2 was a shitty game!". Don't worry, Harry Potter Kinect will probably be shitty too.

No matter where they stand, I cannot imagine too many people will be losing sleep worrying about that. I'd imagine there are more people worried about the Cubs going all the way.

To be fair, the Harry Potter universe isn't solely based on waving wands. Sure everybody has one, but it's not even as iconic of the books/movies as shouting spells, riding brooms or even brewing potions.
Besides, most characters only make simple flicks with their wands, you cannot build a gameplay out of that.

People want their own sticks! White Square Stick, Glowly Dildo stick or actual Harry Potter replica Stick! (Sold Separately) Kinect is a smart move so they can sell more sticks.
