Trailer

I guess we can safely call 2012 the year of the mech with this, Mechwarrior, Hawken, Armored Core and potentially that Kinect Steel Battalion game.

Played this at ACEN 2012 and it was pretty great. Like a 12 player mech assault. You can register and get access to the beta right now (they has a sign up booth there).

Don't like the style, but will definitely try. Who can pass up on a free Mech game?

Mechs are the new zombies! Well, maybe not until Call of Duty gets a mech mode.

I really want a mech game like right now. With Hawken and Mechwarrior not out, this will fill the void. Pending I get into the beta.

I'd play a zombie mech game.

I hate when mech games completely disregard the laws of physics and inertia. There's just no way a giant robot could move like that in reality. Might as well play Halo if you want that "fast paced" action they were talking about.

This game looks a bit messy, but it could be the editing in the video.

Yo, Homeworld Cataclysm meets Mechwarrior. Soak it in.

Would like to see what it actually plays like instead of having floating camera. You can't see anything because there's too many special effects blowing up and distorting to see anything.

Mech games are really fun though. I think with games like World of Tanks blowing up, mech games can become popular again.

I just got an invite to the closed beta. Don't know if anyone else received the email but you get a Steam key.

When is the closed beta scheduled to start?

Also, I'm surprised at all the negativity. The trailer looked bananas.

The amount of mech games coming out pleases me greatly.

Big giant robots are cool, and I think once we get into combat situations between two-legged or four-legged things that run around and shoot each other we can safely suspend our disbelief in physics and inertia. I mean, if we really want to get into it, fighting in big robots is probably the most inefficient and tactically terrible way to fight a war, but it's badass so who cares? "Simulatory" mech games are awesome but Gundam can live alongside Mechwarrior, yo.

I don't think they nailed the balance down right yet, and the weapon selection, power balance and spawn points need some work still. At least on the map they have in the beta. Still looking forward to final release. The graphics are great, the menu music is god-tier, it runs buttery smooth on my low-end machine at max settings, and its a ton of chaotic fun.

I guess I'm NDA'd, but I gotta agree. The beta looks pretty phenomenal in motion. The fact that the framerate stays stable with all the mayhem and particle effects is impressive. It looks like they're handing out another wave of keys so now's the time to get in.
