Secondly, though, if they update their catalog frequently this could keep momentum for people to visit the site and not forget about it. Trickling out new games right as those slots reset is probably a smart way to keep people looking what is new there and downloading things. You can pay to reduce that time or buy more slots, anyway, which is a smart thing to do though I can't say it's that appealing to me. I look at this is kind of a really cool free rental service. |

I downloaded and installed Risen, but when I get the prompt to run the game and click it, the prompt disappears, but the game doesn't start. I don't see an ad or anything.
When I try to run it from my start menu, I get a quick popup saying that it's looking for updates, but then that disappears and again nothing happens. Anyone know what's going on? |

Just wondering when you get the ads, is that written into the game's program itself or does it pop up an internet browser window or something?
I'm trying to see if the fact that I only have Chrome installed as my only internet browser is the reason I can't launch the game. I'm guessing the popup ad only supports IE or something like that. |

Damn, then I have no idea what is wrong. When I click Risen's shortcut all I get is a small window saying "looking for upgrades", but the screen doesn't go black and it doesn't boot up the game. I also get no ads.

Combat is just a fraction of gameplay. Conversations, quests and exploration are gameplay as well and The Witcher excels in all of those. Don't know how it holds up to Risen since I've never played it but gameplay in The Witcher is good.
