Don't do that. you'd think it would make it better but things get much much worse.

It will really start to hit you at about noon. That's usually when it hits me after pulling an all-nighter. I suck at sleeping. I've never tried Red Bull or any of those energy drinks. I have a feeling they'd have no effect on me.

I've worked long shifts when I've had no sleep the previous night and I've worked shifts when I've been hung over and I can tell you that being hung over is FAR worse. You'll be fine. Just power through it and go to bed early tonight. No big deal.

I've been up all night with sunburn itch so severe that the thought of throwing myself off my apartment balcony headfirst into the pavement below has crossed my mind more than I'm comfortable with admitting. So that + total inability to sleep = me having a worse day than you. :p

Yeah, don't do it. It was a joke.

I was on my iPad. Weird thing was at first it looked fine, I hit Post... Then one slash appeared. I edited the OP and three slashes appeared. I could have just been delirious though.

No, your brain operates in cycles when you sleep from light to deep rest. This cycle takes about 75 minutes to complete so if you take naps you usually wake up from a deep rest period making you feel even more tired. I'm no doctor though I play one on the internet.

In my experience, when this happens to me(I've never had no sleep though, I'm persistent and could usually manage at least a couple hours when I had insomnia issues), the day of I feel fine and even great. Then the next day shit falls apart, almost regardless of how much I sleep that night...uh, not to scare you OP. Good luck.

I have a hernia that became incarcerated and had to go to hospital sunday night.
It got free and now I wait to see a general surgeon.
best part about all of this is that I don't have health insurance.

So, I made it home safe and sound, now I'm surfing the net/playing games/watching movies until my wife gets home. The temptation to lay down for a few minutes is very very tempting. Anyway thanks for all the advice.
