Holy shit at the haters. John Carter was in no way the fault of his acting chops.

He looks badass in Oliver Stone's EA's "Army of Two: Mexican Cartel".

Between those options, I guess I'll pick Garrett Hedlund. To me he's the one who can still pass looking like college-student and an ex Hunger Games contestant. The other two look too old.

I seriously think that Taylor Kitsh found a lamp in a garbage heap. He rubbed it and a genie came out, and the genie said, "Your wish is my command." And then Kitsh was all, "I want to be a big star and get the leading roles in huge Hollywood movies." And the genie did it, but it's one of those asshole genies who grants your wish and then, twists it so it's bad, so he ends up in these bombs and everyone hates him. And in the end he learns a lesson, and he realizes that the greatest gift of all is his family or some bullshit.

His agent would say that John Carter was gunna b da next Avatar, and Battleship the next Bayformers. Only John Bomba deserved to do better than it did.

I haven't seen FNL, so maybe he's brilliant in that. But he is absolutely terrible in every movie I've seen him in.

I'm surprised by how okay with this idea I am. None of the listed actors are my particular favorites, but Riggins could probably do a competent version of Finnick. Beats the Robert Pattinson rumor that showed up at one point.

Whenever I see Taylor Kitsch, I see Tim Riggins. And Tim Riggins would be a horrible Finnick because he's a football player not an actor.

So this is a horrible choice.

I'm okay with this. Either this will be a great success for him, or it will kill The Hunger Games. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

Well, there was a lot of improvisation in Friday Night Lights, so that probably worked to his advantage.

What was that thing that Travolta said about Hollywood? That you have to be willing to 'play balls' to succeed in that town?

I quote verbatim:

Quote:
(Travolta) began screaming at Plantiff, telling Plantiff how selfish he was, that (Travolta) got where he is now due to sexual favors he had performed when he was in his ‘Welcome Back Kotter’ days; and that Hollywood is controlled by homosexual Jewish men who expect favors in return for sexual activity.
NMA TV does a better job of illustrating what he did though:

when i think of taylor kitsch all i can think about is the scene where tim riggins walks into the classroom first day of college, sits downs, listens for 6 seconds, then gets up and leaves to drive back to dillon, throwing his books out the window as he goes. And also how hard i laughed at that scene

Should have been Dustin Clare, but I guess he is too old if they are looking at all these young guys :| Would have been perfect for the part too.

He's too old. One of the Young actors needs to hit it big. Aimee Teegardern needs to hit it big (shes so damn cute).

I was hoping that the dude who played Matt would blow up, but he doesn't have the look that hollywood goes for in a leading man.

Vince is the one with a good movie and a hit, although i remember him more as Wallace. Teegarden has that voice that will probably mean she would never play any character outside a high school setting.

Zach Gilford not a very good actor?! ROFL!

He is fantastic in FNL, oh and watch the episode The Son and tell me that it's not Emmy or Golden Globe worthy. A lot of the actors on FNL are extremely good. Kitsch is outstanding on Friday Night Lights and just for that, you people should just shut the hell up, he didnt have luck with JC or Battleship (all or nothing, he's aware of that) but he has real raw talent, apparently has a winner with Savages and another movie with Berg in 2013: Lone Ranger.

Now, having read Catching Fire and Mockingjay, I don't see him as Finnick, even if I love that he's being considered, just shows that he's not going to be blacklisted like so many wished him to be. However, Garrett Hedlund who's very talented as well and has just delivered an incredible (check critics) performance in On The Road, is perfectly suited for the role of Finnick, I could imagine him reading the books, he physically looks the part.

Zach Gilford had a very small role in James Gunn's Super, I wouldn't mind seeing him in weird productions like that.

TK passes.
Quote:
While starring in the sure-to-be-a-hit "Catching Fire" would help brighten Kitsch's tarnished star power thanks to the one-two punch of "John Carter" and "Battleship," Kitsch is already committed to director Peter Berg's Navy SEAL drama "Lone Survivor." That film will likely be shooting at the same time that director Francis Lawrence is in production on "Catching Fire."
