Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation (Vita) revealed in Game Informer, [Large Update In OP] #1

Yeah i just got the latest gameinformer and it has a preview of Assassins Creed 3:Liberation
For vita also stars a Female assassin!

•Its out same day as AC3 (oct30)
•Location is New Orleans
•Female assassin named Aveline
•Looks like same time period as AC3
•ubisoft sofia is devolping
•takes place during 1765-1780 in the period between the end of the french and indian war
•one of the bullet points is that it's "true AC gameplay"
•will not connect to desmond
•will have "multiplayer specifically tailored to the vita experience"
•"the game has been released as a propaganda tool by Abstergo, who want players to experience a gray area of the Assassin/Templar conflict as an assassin rather than a templar"
•Aveline's mentor is an escaped slave named Agate, leader of the assassins in New Orleans

•Wildlife like alligators "wait on the banks of the swamp or hide beneath murky waters"
•Liberation will also take players across the Gulf into Mexico"
•Game will take place in "Large gameplay areas, you can run, climb, fight, and explore the entirety of New Orleans without loading a new area."

It says she's of mixed heritage french/black

Subtitles do not instill me with confidence.

What about the gameplay? Is it the same or is it some spin-off that is AC in aesthetics and name alone?

Also, thank goodness it's not subtitled 'Lady Liberty', or whatever that rumor was a few days ago.

I have no faith in portable AC games, maybe this could be different because of vita, but I'm still cautious after ac's portable history

I am intrigued. AC couldn't really hold my attention on the consoles but I could see it being a very fun time-killer as a portable.

PS3 Port of Prince of Persia Classic
Xbox 360 port of CSI 3 Dimensions of Murder

I don't really have high hopes :p

Sounds good. Is ubisoft sofia a handheld team ? What have they put out so far ?
Female Assasin is great though.

Very interested in knowing how it is this one. Ubisoft Sofia did Shadow Wars on 3DS, so there's hope for something good. How does it look from the magazine?

EDIT: Ah, they did just tech work on Shadow Wars. Meh, hoping they'll do good this time. It won't be a good budgeted game probably, but I want to see it being a good game! :D

I would have taken Ass Creed 3 port over this. But I hope this is good, since there's a bigger chance of me picking this up than Ass Creed 3.

Don't know why gender matters so much in this one. It's not like ACs featured heavy date simulations or manly man things.

Cool. I'd like a true Assassins Creed for handhelds, and it's properly treated and respectful adaptations that'll help sell me on a Vita...

Hopefully one day we'll get a mainline game with a female main character, but this is awesome. Ubisoft Sofia's track record isn't great but they did do Shadow Wars, which was rad.

There was another PSP game with "Liberation" in its title. It did not end well.

Hopefully it turns out to be a nice complement to the Vita's library.

Considering Ubisoft's track record on poratble games, and considering it's a spin off and not a port. I estimate the probability of this game to be an horrible piece of turd to 95%.

Color me interested. I would be fine if this and Tomb Raider reboot lead to more female main-protagonists in video-games

Anyways, excited to see this at Sony's (or Ubi-Soft's) Press Conference.

Happy to hear it's a new assassin, and female at that. Should be interesting!

If you are talking about Killzone Liberation, it is an awesome game that was well supported with DLC.
