Caught up with the last three episodes.

So many plot holes and time wasters. And no epic battle. Just another feel good moment when the lucky shot does damage.

I waited 1:45 mins for a battle that never took place, the whole ending felt rushed and I may not tune in next year for season 2. The finale was such a let-down.

OK....as much as the show has improved there have been multiple moments in the last two episodes (which are the best in the series) where I'm simply dumbfounded as to how a show this poorly produced can be the most watched show on TNT.

It's blatantly obvious that they don't have a budget for the special effects because the alien combat portions of the show seem 1) rushed 2) low tech 3) poorly choreographed.

A show about fighting against an alien invasion where the least exciting part about the show are the fights against the aliens.

What the fuck is going on here?

And they cancelled Men of a Certain Age...a very well made show...but kept this.

What a shit finale. I´ll limit myself to the two biggest disappointments: 1.) He takes out an alien ship with THE perfect shot and the hit ship causes a chain reaction of explosions that takes out the whole alien building that the resistance so carefully planned to take down *somehow*. Seriously, that was Resident Evil end boss-style. lol 2.) WE DIDN´T GET TO SEE POPE FIGHT. I mean, they skipped the whole battle anyway, we didn´t see anyone fight the big fight. But come on! When our hero arrives at the scene, all we see is an exhausted Pope that has done something, but this something wasn´t shown. Instead we got to see some bullshit "we scare them away with a radio frequence"-deux ex machine solution. sigh Well, depending on what other shows are released next summer, I might or might not tune in. But wtf at that, too. Why does such a mediocre series need a whole year before we get the next season? LOST had 20 episode-seasons and took a year between each, and LOST is infinitely better than Falling Skies.

I don't get it either. It's blatantly obvious that they aren't paying anyone to produce the "sci-fi" portion of the show.

Battles ALWAYS suck. CGI always sucks. Long scenes in the school where they don't have to pay for set time...

I hope they spend some money on the show next season. Hell, fire some of the dead weight cast.

1) Sorry guys...blonde chick is hot, but she's pointless.
2) Old guy working on radio....pointless.
3) Jimmy...got damn. Kill that kid already. He's as big a tool as they come.
4) token black guy that doesn't like poe...kill him.
5) token asian guy that got gutted...kill him.
6) uh...hot young female nurse aid that prays....pointless

Replace all those paychecks with someone more interesting, spend more on the "alien" part of the show....and give us more battles.

Most of the alien vehicles/buildings seemed to be made out of scrap metal, maybe they're just a scouting fleet that make do with what they find and secure the planet until the main fleet with all the fancy non-earth materials arrive?

Comes back in June. Don't have cable anymore, so not sure if I'm going to attempt to follow it. I'm mildly curious where they're going to go with season two following the finale. But I know it'll be some stupid explanation and dipshit Noah will be brought back to Earth with little harm done and the whole thing will be forgotten by the end of the episode. We have to make more room or the praying girl and skateboard montages.

Just finished off the first season and it ended up being better than I expected after reading such harsh criticism about it being boring. The finale was pretty good too. I didn't expect to see a huge battle simply because the budget is obviously not there. The family stuff isn't even that bad.
