This way they can start a Caesar series right afterwards.

Makes sense. Everyone knows how Spartacus ends, it was unlikely they could drag things out for much longer with some many major characters gone. S2 was great, and I'm sure S3 will be good

This just means that a whole lot of characters (everyone left) will be dying off in season 3.

Disappointing to hear. Vengeance had its moments. Ashur, Gannicus, and Glabor were all awesome in it.

But yeah, it couldn't touch Blood in the Sand or Gods of the Arena. Some of the best television ever.

It's done about the same as the later episodes of season 1.. seems pretty consistent past the first few. The problem is that there is a very finite number of actual Starz subscribers and removing this from Netflix means its has very, very little room for growth. 1.5 million people watching a show is "okay" for cable, but it's obviously untenable for a show with any sort of budget. I knew it wouldn't last much longer.

I just looked up Boss and Magic City.. these shows get less than 500k people watching them. That's fucking awful. If they were available on Netflix, I'm sure they would have grown over time noticeably like Spartacus did in its first season.

I'm kind of glad they're going to end it, I don't want a show to drag out and fall off i.e. Dexter.
